Well I've worked in the UK before under a Working Holiday Visa Scheme. At the time the visa was very restrictive but I certainly didn't have any problem getting roles (although restricted to contracts). I'm soon to arrive in the UK under the HSMP. The feedback from recruitment agencies is that they ...

I think the first idea is a bit stupid personally, others may differ to comment.

The second though is very useful.

Congrats Melyni, sounds like everything is falling into place for you. I just got my EC today. It only took one day to come through! It all still seems a bit surreal after such a long wait having first applied for HSMP back at the start of Feb. I guess the reality will kick in when I get on board a ...

Hi Mini,

I didn't send any proof of funds with my application and I got approval without any questions being asked. As Papafaith said, it's only required at the EC stage. Hope this helps.

Are you looking at the under 28 yr old category or the 28+ category??? That I take it is the difference.

Just to let you all know, the HSMP Team have confirmed to me that my application has been processed and a decision has been made. As per their policy, they weren't able to tell me what the decision was over the phone. They said the letter and the original documents were posted to me on Friday 30th A...

Dino, you can call the HSMP Team or send them an email. The HSMP Team contact details are on the workingintheuk site. Given your ref number, your case should be assigned soon or may have already been dealt with. Cane, all I'm saying is that if you meet the criteria of the HSMP and you have provided ...

It all depends on what sections you are claiming points under. The HSMP guidance material is quite specific, best you refer to that.

Good luck.

Hi Melyni, The HSMP team advised me that once it's allocated to a Caseworker it should get turned around very quickly (i.e. 48hrs max) just as long as all the evidence is provided and there are no issues. Some times the WP Customer Relations team get it wrong and say your case has been allocated whe...

AUD $3K-$4K seems pretty low as far as required funds for EC goes. At the Brit HC here in Wellington they ask to see around NZD $7k. This is less if you have a confirmed job offer or someone to support you.

My application was lodged on the 9th Feb, ref no 1265*. No news as yet.

My partner lodged hers about 2 weeks after mine and yesterday she got her acceptance letter in the post! I guess her application looked more straight forward and so was processed quicker.

We are both over 28 and applied from NZ.

Hello, what NationOne has stated regarding entering the UK within 90 days of EC tends to go contrast what has previously been stated / discussed in this forum. As I understood it you were only required to enter within 12 months!

Any comments?????
