Hi jazbaati99,
In the last 5 years I have been absent for about 460 days , am exceeding the limit by 10 days. Half of the absences have been due to work and I could get co letters to mention that.
I did notice that HO disregard absences of upto 480 days but not sure how this works

Thanks

John ,

Do you think I should send them a note just in case to confirm that my app was sent before 3rd April. Also do you have any idea how long the posts take , does it really take 4 weeks for HO to respond or is that just a byline figure ?

hi there

Or apply by post if you can't get an appointment. If sending by post do use Special Delivery ... well worth the circa £4 cost ..... proof of when it is delivered the next day. Demand for appointment slots could be very high! I took your advice and called HO and have booked an appointment with them ...

Well atleast they have recognised this a problem and
1. Are allowing people to take up employment while their FLR is getting processed
2. And coming up with another solution solution next yr.

Whether you are transferring work permits or applying for a new one irrespective of the case you have to use the same form to apply. The diff is for people already here on WP's employers dont have to prove that they have advt for the post and couldnt get a resident to fill in the and so on....
