ILE/ILR?

Hello there, need a bit of help for my dear friend. can someone tell me what's the difference between ILE and ILR please? My friend has ILE and she has a 'valid until' date on her visa page. Does this mean she has to apply for ILR when she gets to uk?

It will be exactly 60 days for me on Monday. I've tried asking about it with my VAC but nothing relevant was replied..nothing at all. I had no idea it would be such a long wait :? So hang in there, you're not alone! Hope you hear soon, all the best

Your husband was given a tracking number, its the only way to find out I'm afraid. Plus ukba Jamaica timeline for processing settlement visas is 60 working days. So about a month's wait or so depending on application date, left for him...hopefully! Good luck!

So there's no point doing the current LIUK test , I was thinking of doing it as soon as possible like this year, I gather it doesn't have an expiry date

I applied before 9 July this year. Does that mean I don't have to do the new life in the uk test and English requirement at B1 level when I apply for ilr that should come in force October 2013?
