I personally don't see why it should be a problem if you apply in person, if you read the guidance relating to ILR for persons who have been on HSMP, you will see that it says you should provide proof of your economic activity for the duration of your time on HSMP. This in no way suggests that you h...

If your dates are correct you should be eligible for ILR in October 2009, since your time as a student will not count for the five year ILR, remember you will have to pass the life in the UK test first. Your absences abroad should not exceed 90 days at any single time, total absences during the five...

While I don't know if there is a minimum period for entry, you should remember that in order to extend you visa in two years time you will need to show 12 consecutive months of earnings (of a certain amount) out of the 15 months before your visa expires. If you leave your first entry too late you ma...

Will she earn £1500 from the home based job by the time she is ready to apply for extension? Is she able to do paid overtime to make up the £1500 to earn her 5 more points for previous earnings. I know that DNA is probably the most reliable way, but I doubt exhuming the bodies are an option, I was wondering if other records, which list the father's name such as details from a passport application which normally asks for father's name etc. are accepted as proof of ancestry

Proving UK ancestry

A commonwealth citizen believes her grandparent was born in the UK, and wishes to claim uk ancestry. The problem however is that 1. Both her father and grandfather are deceased 2. Both herself and her father were illegitimate, so their fathers names are not listed on their birth certificates as is t...

Yes you will have to include your son on the EC application and you will need to submit a photo, its been a long time since I applied for EC and it seems the rules have changed since, so I'll leave the other questions to be answered by people with more recent experience

Generally, if your initial visa was for one year, you are given a 4 year extension. If your initial visa was for 2 years the extension is granted for 3 years. Of course the course worker does have the power to give the extension for less than the this as I have heard of persons who have been given o...

They seem to normally accept an early application if you have a good reason for doing so. Write a covering letter and attach a letter from your employer stating the requirement for you to travel over the particular time period, and you should be fine.
