Jas I think you are confusing the covering letter you received with your ILR one year ago with the back dated letter that persons who applied recently under the HSMP ILR JR received to show that their ILR is deemed to have been granted on the date when they completed 4 qualifying years on HSMP rathe...

shouldn't be a problem, you are not officially British until you attend your ceremony and recieve your certificate as far as I know, my spouse and child's approval letters arrived while we were out of the country, there was absolutely no problems re-entering.

Why not include your son as well? I am assuming your wife has not been in the UK for five years hence the reason she won't be applying yet but children under 18 can be included in the parent's application regardless of length of residence in the UK as far as I am aware.

If you get ILR at the same time as your husband then you will be eligible for naturalisation (as per the current rules) once you have held ILR for one year and have been lawfully present in the UK for the previous five years. The fact that you were on a dependent visa for part of the five years is i...

You need to submit the registration certificate (when you receive it) and the child's full UK birth certificate, if the child already has a passport from another country they may want to see that as well. The parents passports with ILR are only relevant to children who were British at birth and woul...

You can apply on set(o) for a dependent visa for your child at a PEO that way you will not have to be without your passport.
You will have to make an appointment, call HO at 8.59 am and you should be able to get one for six weeks in the future.

I think there is an application you can make to get a document that confirms that your child is already a british citizenship (can't remember the details of what it's called) This should provide some degree of independent documentary evidence that can be used if the child is ever asked to prove his ...

Section 1 (3) as I understand it is for kids born in the UK whose parents subsequently obtain ILR. Were all the kids born in the UK? Any kids who were born outside of the UK can be applied for at the same time you apply for naturalisation but not before.

Re: HSMP, lost job - what about ILR?

Well, on Thursday I lost my job (I was made redundant) :( I'm eligible to apply for ILR (under the terms of HSMP JR) in February 2010. So far since February 2009 I earned 29000 pounds (before tax) - do you think this will be enough for ILR? I do hope to find something else until February, but the m...

You can mention the total of salary plus dividend with a notation saying " comprises x salary and y dividend" for example.

Fr the HSMP portion of your stay ensure you have P60s or statements of earnings from your employer for each tax year.

I had a long absence in my first year on HSMP, so I claimed my qualifying period for ILR as starting when I returned to the UK from that long absence. During my qualifying period I had roughly 60 days absence in total.

You can get a Chiltern railways train from London Marylebone to Solihull station, from there it is a short 10-15 minute's walk to the PEO, print a map of the area before you get there as there are no signs directing you to the PEO like it is in Croydon.

Hi VJ Your questions are a bit off topic here but. 1. There is no minimum salary for ILR based on HSMP, you need to prove that you have been economically active throughout your stay (P45s, employer letters, payslips bank statements will do as evidence) 2. it shouldn't matter that your account goes i...

Nationals of certain countries are required to register with the police and I believe they need to inform the police when they change address. If you are required to register with the police, it should say so on your visa. don't know that you are required to inform UKBA however
