My own humble opinion is that whoever handled your case has seriously confused the issue and maybe went through your application in a hurry. I'd write to them seeking reconsideration on the basis that you are aware that your absence from the Uk for more than 2 years invalidates your ILR and it is fo...

Join whichever line you like, show your naturalisation certificate along with your foreign passport and you shouldn't need to even fill in a landing card. This was my personal experience.

John is correct, you can apply with the naturalisation certificate plus your marriage certificate. If you search the forum you will see where several people have done this.

Re: Indefinite leave to remain - URGENT - please help

Also, when you get your ILR, if your son was born in the UK, apply for your son's british passport, he would be british by birth. Whether or not you choose to apply for ILR for your son, he will not be British by birth and you cannot just apply for a british passport for him. Once you obtain ILR, y...

MN1 applications are normally dealt with swiftly, two weeks being quite normal, so if you apply by post it might not be too long before you get your documents back. However, in order to avoid parting with your passports it might be best to try and get an appointment with another more enlightened NCS...

He can apply at the same time as you but will need a separate form. You can call to make the appointment and find out whether you need to make two appointments for the same day or just one joint appointment for everyone you can also confirm what form he needs at the same time.

Using the 28 days rule, you could apply for ILR on the 20th of April anyway. My (HSMP ILR JR) ILR was backdated to the date of my approval letter rather than the date of first UK entry.

If I understand you correctly the applicant has lived in the Uk since 1983 and has held indefinate Leave to remain for far more than one year. In my opinion she should have no problem whatsoever applying for naturalisation. The fact that she is divorced is not relevant to her Naturalisation applicat...

You are correct, however, If the child was registered before 1st of December 2003 then the father does not automatically have parental responsibility just by having his name on the birth certificate.

You can book an appointment at the office that's nearest to you, I think appointments are available as early as 8.30 am, and interviews last 20 minutes if so long. In my case, I took an early appointment and went back to work about an hour later than normal.

January 2011, as you must have been present in the uk exactly five years before the date on which your application reaches the home office, as you weren't physically present in the UK in November 2005, you cannot apply in November 2010.
