Online payslips to support SET(M)

My company switched to sending payslips online in April. When submitting payslips to suspport my wife's SET(M) ILR application can I just print them off or do I have to get them stamped/verified? I also have a letter from my employer confirming my employment and that payslips are now sent online. An...

Re: Applying for ILR without KOL?

Just one tip for LIUK. Your wife can choose to listen to the questions through headphones while reading from the screen. She may find this easier. Thankyou, that was a mega top tip. My wife was the only one in the test room who was using headphones and she was the only one who passed. ILR here we c...

She has the B1 English Listening and Speaking. This is sufficient isn't it?

Applying for ILR without KOL?

My wife entered the UK on a spouse visa 5 August 2012. She now needs to apply for ILR but she has just failed her first attempt at the Life in the UK test. We have another test booked and may be able to squeeze in a third attempt if she's unlucky next time. However, I want to know if (worst case sce...

Not correct. The member's wife will need to take the Life in the UK (KOL) test and the B1 English language test. Thanks for clarifying. There was me about to put my wife through a term full of ESOL. Doh! Could you tell me which tests are acceptable to demonstrate B1 level listening and speaking?

From what I have gathered you will be applying after October 2012 and this means that she will have to do both the Life in the UK test and an Esol course that includes Citizenship.

Can anyone else clarify?

I would urge you to email your MP. It may or may not have an effect but at worst it will allow you to feel that you've done something and at best it could be just what's needed to get your loved one's visa. There's nothing to lose - even if you don't beleive in voting, make use of your MP. This is w...

Maybe my MP did have something to do with it. The visa was stamped 31 July and I had contacted him on 30 July. But he hasn't got back to me yet to take the credit, so who knows. Bassem do you know if your MP made a phone call to them or did he write to them. And do you know who he actually contacte...

I'll be back checking the forum when its time to apply for ILR in a few months time. I'm gonna get that sorted at the earliest opportunity. Just got your visa - you won't be eligible to apply in a few months for ILR? If I think about it in terms of years I'll end up leaving it too late. We have to ...

She got it! Visa granted. I was literally jumping for joy! So glad that's over. That was an emotional rollercoaster I don't want to go on again. When getting the paperwork together I was advised only to give them the bare minimum. I was told any excess paperwork would just add to the ECO's workload ...

I'm surprised we've got a decision already.

I only contacted my MP on Monday this week. I hope the quick response from BHC is because my MP carries clout and moves quickly and not because there was anything amiss with our paperwork.

How important is it to submit latest P60?

The new rules require a sponsor to submit their latest P60. This year HMRC told employers to give their employees their P60s by 31 May. If P60s are a must to include with your application, does this mean that people are going to have to wait until June of every year before they have all their paperw...
