Re: Tier 2 dependent visa for new born india

I think that the local guardian should be able to take the child to VFS. There are some signatures that the legal guardian will have to take care of though. The documents I remember are: - Father's passport (all pages) and biometric (with valid T2G visa) copies - Mother's passport (all pages) and bi...

Re: Tier 2 fees: General or Shortage occupation? Up to 3 yea

Something similar happened to one of my colleagues. He had paid lesser fee and UKVI sent him a letter asking to pay the remainder. The letter states how and which ways you can pay. He payed by debit card. Thank you! I think that is what will happen in my case too.. My HR said they will contact UKVI...

I dont know why I am not myself when I am dealing with this visa stuff. Not that anything bad has happened with visa before - but I commit so many blunders. This doesnt happen to me often. Sorry about posting the personal details. God save me! Should I wait and see what happens regarding the incorre...

Re: Tier 2 fees: General or Shortage occupation? Up to 3 yea

The attached information was populated by the system - and was read only. I thought this was because they have fetched information from my previous application or CoS. I am not sure now.

The visa type says Tier 2 (General) Shortage Occupation..

Re: Tier 2 fees: General or Shortage occupation? Up to 3 yea

Hi iworker, Despite your clear information - I have managed to mess up my application. I have completed my online application today morning and paid the fees - but the incorrect one! At the end of the application the system asked me to pay £437 pp instead of £575 pp. This may be because I answered Y...

Re: IHS fee for children - online application issue

Thank you so much Petaltop. I am on a Tier 2 General visa - not ICT. I have seen my daughter's previous application printout. There was no question about being under local authority when I applied for visa from India. What do you think I should do? Wait and watch if something happens? Many thanks, B...

Re: IHS fee for children - online application issue

That is really very worrying if correct. :( Dont know if I have to become an immigration lawyer or something in order to stay in UK. How on earth will I come to know if I have to pay or not! No one in GP informed me about any fees. Is a bill waiting for me somewhere!? The visa saga doesnt seem to be...

Re: IHS fee for children - online application issue

Thanks Greenie. I now understand why I didnt have to pay for 1st time. Glad to know that I must have answered that question correctly somehow! I have registered my daughter with GP - have given her required vaccinations in UK - and also had a health visitor 2 weeks back. I hope this doesnt mean that...

Re: IHS fee for children - online application issue

Thank you so much CR001 and Greenie for confirming that I will have to pay health surcharge for my 4 months old daughter. I dont know why that was not required when she applied from India.. IHS fee for children - online application issue

Hi all, I am on a Tier 2 visa since 15-Jan-2014. My visa expires on 14-Oct-2016. My daughter was born in India in May this year and came to U.K. on 23-Aug-2016 on my dependent visa. I am now applying for an extension along with my wife and daughter. 1. We didn't have to pay any health surcharge for ...

Re: IHS for Babies

Hi all, I have the same question. My baby was born in India in May this year - and we didnt have to pay any health surcharge. However, now that I am completing my application - it says I will have to pay £500 for myself, £500 for my wife and £500 for my 4 months old daughter ! My wife and I havent p...

Thanks iworker! My new CoS will be from 1st October 2016 to 31st December 2018. Thanks for confirming that a duration of 2.25 years means that I will have to pay for 3 years or less. I am still not clear on the shortage occupation part though. I work for a reputed university. My job is to program so...

Tier 2 fees: General or Shortage occupation? Up to 3 years?

Hi wonderful people. I got my 1st Tier 2 visa on SOC 2136 on 14-Jan-14 and it expires on 14-Oct-2016. I am going to apply for a Tier 2 extension in a week or two. Two questions: 1. Do I pay fees for 'Tier 2 General' or 'Tier 2 General - shortage occupation?' My biometric card says Tier 2 (General), ...

Re: Maternity Leave in Tier 2 General Visa

Hi Macha,

I dont think that being on maternity leave will make any difference on your visa/ILR. My wife is on maternity leave - and I didnt see any problem with anything. She is a Tier 2 dependent though.

Kind regards,
B

Re: NHS for visitors?

Gosh! That was the last thing I would have thought of. It's simply giving the same love and care to my little girl that my grandparents gave me. Its a cultural difference, and I didnt quite think what UKVI thinks of this as an unpaid work. However, I am still unable to find the thread/discussion sug...

Re: NHS for visitors?

Just one point in addition to Wanderer's post. You mention bringing your parents again at the end of the 6 month period. This won't be possible as visitors can't spend more time in the UK in a rolling 12 month period than they are spending in their own country, as this will be perceived to be 'resi...

My parents did ask for 6 months and that is what they received. I thought this to be perfectly okay. In fact, I plan to bring them again at the end of 6 months. Couldnt find anything suggesting that the 1st 6 months is an issue. :( I cant even stand the thought of a £30000 bill. Need to get the insu...

Saying for the full six months is not recommended either, that's not a visit. Did you mean "staying"? Why is this not recommended? They are going to arrive on 23rd August 2016 and depart on 16th Feb 2017. Is there any issue with this? Can anyone suggest me something about insurance from I...

NHS for visitors?

Dear all, I knew that GP will not register someone on a visitor visa, but I thought that the emergency services will take care of visitors in an emergency. However, that is not correct. Can someone confirm that the NHS will give me a hefty bill if my visitors had to go to A & E. My father-in-law...
