I thought you cannot apply for an extension 90 days before the current leave expires..? So dairyqueen can apply only on or after 28th July..?

Re: Passport and dependent visa for newborn in India – shari

Hi, I am sorry. Yes, you are correct - EITHER of the parent's should have the spouse name added to his/her passport. My wordings are a bit misleading. Even this is not mandatory - but very good to have. The child HAS to go for the health checkup. They check weight, height and some silly stuff. It is...

Yes, it is possible to apply for your baby's 1st visa along with your extension visa (although technically you can get away without applying for a visa for your baby!).

Passport and dependent visa for newborn in India – sharing e

Dear friends, My new-born daughter received her Tier 2 dependent visa last week. Although there are other threads on this topic, I thought to share my experience in hope that this helps someone in future. Getting passport: Get the birth certificate asap. This is probably the only document you need f...

I had a company registered - but it was done when I was on PSW Tier 1. When I switched to Tier 2 - I am not supposed to do business anymore. Being a director of a company - trading or not - making profit or not - withdrawing salary or not - dormant or not - isnt technically allowed. You may land up ...

Re: Dependent visa for newborn in India - docs and e-stateme

Regarding TB certificate, I have received the below reply: Regarding your query, all children must see a clinician who will decide if they need a chest x-ray. Children under 11 will not normally have a chest x-ray. You must take your child to an approved clinic and complete a health questionnaire. I...

I cant believe how ignorant I could be. I always thought that my wife will get ILR automatically when I get it. Hundred thanks to vinny and iworker and the forum for saving me yet again. (1): Yes, your daughter needs visa (she wouldn't have if she was born inside UK and was not travelling outside) (2): Yes, it is possible and home office has no issue/concern with her job, that would be between your wife and her company (as she is on a dependent visa, and not Tier 2) (3): Others can...

Urgent: New born baby visa issue

Dear friends, I received my Tier 2 visa in Jan 2014 which is due to expire on 14th October 2016. I got married in May 2014 and my wife came to UK as a Tier 2 dependent in June 2014. She got a job in my team and she has been working full time for my company since Sep 14. She took maternity leave and ...

Hi Chirag, There are quite a few people in the same position as yours - including me. I took Tier 2 visa as a new entrant and it expires on 14th October 2016. My renewal is going to be as an experienced worker. I am almost certain that the current SOC list is going to get updated - but the problem i...

Re: SOC CODES 2016

Hi A J,

A friend called them today. They said that they dont have the new SOC list yet, and that as of today - use the list published on 19th November. :(

Although my extension is in October, I want to have enough time to find another job - should the worst happen.

Kind regards,

Re: SOC CODES 2016

The SOC list is for renewing the Tier 2 visa - which is different from applying for ILR. So for 2136, I can renew my visa today if my salary is £31100, but I cant apply for ILR as it is not £35000. You cant stay on Tier 2 for more than 6 years, but I have completed only 2 years so far - so my intere...

Re: SOC CODES 2016

No update as of yet. I tried exploring other parts of gov.uk too. :( The delay may be because of the nurse's issue I guess.

It is worth noting that in 2014, they updated the list on 6th May - not 6th April. All that we can do now is wait and watch.

Kind regards,

Re: Tier 2 Extension - New Entrant or Experienced Salary Rat

I was unable to find the post where manci stated that anything above 3 years and 1 month is "Experienced". I will be 30 at the time of renewal (Oct '16). I was never in doubt about the New Entrant Vs Experienced - as it will be Experienced rate for sure. However, what baffles me is that if...

Re: Tier 2 Extension - New Entrant or Experienced Salary Rat

Let us say you started Tier 2 G on 1st January 2014. If your new Tier 2 extension application will allow you to remain in the UK even after 31st January 2017 - you will be treated as an Experienced worker. That is what I understand reading different bits on UKBA and this forum.

Re: Tier 2 (G) visa extension salary requirement

I was hoping someone answers to this. Okay, let me rephrase the question: If a person with Tier 2 General visa (granted in February 2014), as a new entrant (PSW to Tier 2 G), has to apply for extension of his visa, whilst in same job, which of the following applies to him: 1. There is no minimum sal...

Thank you so much for your reply Mitali! I am glad to know that the Tenancy Agreement is not required. However, I ...

Re: Document list: Tier 2 dependant from India

One more question, do I need to sign the copies of passport and BRP card? Is any kind of 'attestation' required on any copies? The doubt regarding tenancy agreement is important, as I see lot of semi-concluded discussions in the forum. Some of the posts that has complete list that I need are outdate...
