Re: Unsuccessful applications

Hello everybody My wife has just been refused on the basis that she has been absent for 360 days in the last 3 years - ie 60 days over. Every other condition was met. We made the application on the basis that they had "discretion" to disregard the extra 60 days. We are a retired couple and...

do we need to live in a house for ILR?

My Ukrainian wife and I were married in the UK over 2 years ago, and now it's time to apply for her ILR. We have been together all the time, never a single day apart. Thanks, I have read that. I suppose my most basic question is do I have to inform anybody or register in any way. Other than our marriage certificate, the UK government doesn't even know she exists!

Or is just being married to me enough?

what do i do about state pension for my new wife?

I have just got married to a Ukrainian woman, and she has her LTR.

I am unsure about what to do next - does she need a NI number? She doesn't intend to work.

I need to know if I need to do anything to ensure we both get the maximum state pension possible. I have a full employment record.

Thanks

Dover - Calais by car and residence card - any info?

Hi everybody, have read the thread with interest. It seems that most problems are about airline check-in staff who don't know the law. We want to travel by car to Portugal using the Dover Calais ferry. French immigration is on the Dover side, prior to embarkation. As this is such a busy route, I wou...
