hsmp_victory, as cagrawal said if you read my post I am 5 year and the HSMP part of my stay started in 2007 so nothing to do with JR (which only affects 2006 and pre applicants). But agreed, lets hope that the reason they have put everyone in the same boat is for the better- I just hope that doesnt ...

ILR for HSMP suspended (temporarily)

Have just been to Croydon PEO. As of last week they have suspended ALL ILR applications if all or part of your stay includes HSMP. This applies even if your HSMP is not affected by the current JR (i.e. got it after 2006). Anyone turning up for an appointment is being turned away and asked to apply b...

Claudior, we are just trying to help. Why dont you call HO and ask? That way you are not relying on what anyone on this forum tells you. The point that 90 day rule is not clearly defined in the rules has been discussed before. Rules just say 'present' during 5 years which they check is satisfied by ...

I thought even UK residents have to pay on average 3k for uni education these days? (and over 10k a year for foreigners).

Here is Imperial:
For the 2008/2009 academic year the College will charge £3,145 for all Home and EU students.

The "days spent out of the country" requirement for ILR has been there for a long time (Dec 2006 is probably when they published/updated their internal caseworker guidance etc). You will have to satisfy the ILR rules as they stand now when applying. By your reasoning people could also appl...

Think there is some confusion between college and university here. For universities you definitely need to be resident for at least 3 years (in most cases) to be eligible for home/EU fees.

Typically if your employer has not changed and you are still performing the same function of the original WP then it doesnt matter if you change departments or get promoted, but not sure how it applies to nursing bands. I have changed divisions several times during my WP employment for a large compa...

I was under the impression that its similar to you applying in person at PEO but instead a lawyer/consultant represents you and prepares your application (so in theory the success rate should be higher).

But yes, people have certainly used solicitors to get their ILR same-day.

So you have not even applied yet and you are saying this has ruined your plans? You are clearly still young, why not try another country if you are so desperate? Better to be hit now than once you have already arrived.... Btw: I have this women sounds very dodgy, presume you meant 'hate' and 'woman'...

Don’t think anyone knows (yet) how the HO will decide what qualifies as masters, but a guess is they will probably go by their current guides for Tier 1. Maybe you can look at those and see if this qualification is covered? Should give a good indication.

Many people are frustrated by the fact that UK is very short-sighted when it comes to tinkering with immigration rules. There is no question about a country having the right to close/open doors to new arrivals as economy changes, but screwing over those who are already here and have committed to set...

Guys, if you are currently on HSMP your status has not been changed by Tier 1. HOWEVER, when you come to extension then your status does change to Tier 1 as you CANNOT extend HSMP. Simples.

This is not the forum to be asking about which MBA courses are best, google is your friend.

As for your immigration related question, there is nothing stopping you doing part-time study as long as your earnings etc are all adequate for an extension or ILR.

"staight away". nice try

No you cant just automatically get HSMP, you need to go through the normal application procedure. And yes, you can get ILR after 3 WP years and 2 HSMP years but the upcoming Citizenship bill could change all that :)
