The rule for dependant children under 18, is that they satisfy the 3 years resident requirement, i was given this information by NCS and its somewhere in the guidance.

I was refused appointment on the basis of 4yrs, this morning at 0911, they said they have to wait for the policy document. I was given an appointment for June 30 on the basis of 5 yrs anyway.

Do you think HO will give a refund to those who had to pay for the extra year... I think HO may drag its feet to such a date when all the eligible people would have reached their 5 years! But the ruling does set a precedence vis a vis the earned citizenship stuff - no more retrospective application...

I said earlier that nothing may stop this labour govt from ripping citizenship from immigrants, although this has nothing to do with immigrants, i reckon the stage is been preapared.
