Re: Switching From Tier 4 Dependent to Tier 2 Main Applicant

you do not need a uk qualification or relevant experience to be sponsored. since u are student dependent, u can change visa within uk. you will need restricted COS which is issued by employer. RLMT need to be done correctly u will need a statement of 900 for yourself, and 1500 if applying with partn...

Re: Switching to different Tier 2 Employer

This rule is often misunderstood. What it really means is, say your current leave is till end of dec. ur new prospective emloyer assigns u a visa from sept onwards. U apply for a new leave, gets the visa which is valid from sept. U will then have to resign from your visa so ur current employer cance...

Re: Urgent - Only get 2 years for T2 general Need help!

it is likely that your emoloyer would have put the end date on cos as 2 years. However, it is still better to confirm from the employer and if they had put the 3 years, then u should get in touch with UKVI.

Re: switching Jobs in Tier 2 G

you do not need to provide the tenancy agreement or salary slips if you havent started the job yet.
U can either show maintenance of £600 per dependent or ask your employer to give a letter that they will support the dependent for first 1 month.

Re: Tier 1 General Dependant wife confused

She can apply for FLR M as well, should u wish so, but it will reset her clock and she will have to wait for 5 years from that time.
You can continue to extend her leave as PBS dependent and apply for ILR whenever she completes 5 years.

Re: Tier2 extension - a new COS needed or not?

I think you should read the guidance in the first instance, so that u dont confuse yourself with wrong terminologies. What the business help desk has advised is that you apply for an extension. Your employer does not have to renew the cos.. they have to issue you a new cos, starting from the date wh...

Re: Another extension before ILR?

You can apply 28 days before 25-03-2015.
you have to satisfy the points on earning by showing the income of 12 months in previous 15 months. So i think u should be ok even if the dont extend the contract.

Re: Should you have 35 k for ILR for the whole 5 year period

Your 35k salary would only be enforced on the day that you apply for settlement. So if the employer agrees to pay u 35k a day before u apply for settlement, and can give u a letter stating your salary and that u are required by them for foreseeable future, u should be able to get ILR. (however, this...

bank statements have to be orginal and are a requirement.
I would recommend to submit all docs original. Not submitting an extra doc is better than submitting a scanned copy

Re: looking for some guidance - help Tier 2

its not a problem. It is not unusual for migrants to arrive late due to visa processing/serving notice etc.

If possible, once u have the visa, ask you employer to send you a letter stating the new start date and keep with in hand luggage so can show at immigrations if asked.

Re: Gap in Tier 2 general visa transferred to another NHS tr

Once u have the COS from new trust, u have to apply within 3 months. U can apply 3 months before start of new job.
Say you apply on 15 June and get visa by 15 July, it would have start date as 6 aug.
U do not have to worry about the gaps in employment, its all fine.

Re: UK born child on dependant visa?. can overstay or not

you do not have to worry about his visa expiring.
Once you have the ILR, then u can apply for MN1 registration directly. He ownt be considered an over-stayer even if his visa expires till your ILR is approved.

having heard a similar case from someone else, i have a feeling that u will be given a further leave to remain for 2.5 years. which would later need to be extended again. Hence they have not asked for LIUK.

Re: Extension clarification question

you will be able to extend your visa, but you will have to apply before it expires.
You will be able to extend it for the last date of work on cos plus 2 weeks.
if you continue to work with same employer and same soc code, no rlmt is required. .
You can extend the visa up to 5 years.
