early extension (1 year early)

I got my 1st extension last year and my current visa expires 2015. I will have to go for one more extension in 2015 as I came to UK a year later after I got Tier1 for the first time. I need to earn 50K for my extension, which is very difficult in the current situations. I am currently contracting th...

address proof for 5 years stay

Hi All, For ILR do I need to show address proof (council tax) for all 5 years of stay in UK ? In the first year for about 6 months, I was staying with my friend and hence do not have any address proof /council tax letter for this period. Is address proof for all 5 years is mandatory ? If yes, what o...

Tier1 earnings

Tier1 earnings criteria should also consider the UK economy in to account.

If economy is not doing good, one's earnings may drop (say due to salary cuts ) even if the person is talented.

Do you agree ?

Hi, I hold tier1 general visa and currently working in Scotland. Just wanted your views on this. Suppose say after 2014 or 2015 Scotland separates from England, do tier1 immigrants in scotland have to move to england ? I know both governments agree upon some rule with regard to immigrants, but just ...

PEO appointment search limit

While booking a PEO appointment today I saw this message at the end. If you have not reached your limit for the number of times you can search... So is there a limit imposed now on the number of searches ? I could not find more info about this on ukba website. Any idea what this limit is and whether...

Tier1/ILR

Hi
A friend of mine who was on Tier1 recently got ILR.

He had got dependant Tier1 visa for his spouse when he was on Tier1.

Now he has ILR and his spouse needs to go for extension.

Does his spouse still apply as Tier1 dependant or should she apply under some other category ??

Thanks for any info.

earnings query

Hi,

If I invest in gold or forex through my limited company and make some profit, and I draw extra dividend or salary because of this profit, is such earning considered for calculating points against previous earnings ?

Thanks for any info.

Hi,
A quick question on switching to Tier1.

I know that fresh Tier1 are closed as of now.

Suppose someone who is in UK on Tier2 (ICT), is it possible to switch to Tier1 ?

Thanks for any info.

As per UKBA it is 45. But it may take more time. One suggestion. There are many check boxes in the form to request various data about the applicant. I assume that all those data about the applicant might not be stored in a centralised place, so more time might be required to collect all the data fro...

I assume you are talking about applying in person i.e. at PEO. If your case is straight forward and you are confident that you will get the decision on the same day, then you can opt for PEO for your self and once you get your decision, you can apply for your wife by post. It is just a suggestion, f...

Very disappointing situation. I too had made my first application in 1st week of July 2010, in BLR. I too had paid the fees in cash and did not retain any references for my first application. I have been following this forum few months before my extension date, and I read about SAR application. i.e....

The 10% tax on dividend is also counted in your earnings. So your total earnings = gross salary + net dividend + tax credit on dividend. I got my extension approved based on this calculation only. If UKBA do not consider the tax credit, my extension would have been rejected. Surprise to see differen...

Hi

A query on invoices. My invoices are the prints from my clients online timesheet tool. Are they fine or do I need original.

I know invoices are not mandatory, but if at all I am submitting are the printed copies from the online website ok ?

Thanks
