I agree- it is simply outrageous. Apart from paying loads of tax, we cover far more than the processing cost of the applications. It would be encouraging if they even bothered to look at correspondence. My guess would be that it is false and that they put complaints next to the pile (or bin) of unprocessed applications and go for tea.
