Thanks and that's good news. I thought the visa duration would be dependent on the passport validity period.

@iworker, does your comment still stand? I am in a similar situation where my passport expires in a year and my company is applying for an extention of 3 years (T2 ICT Visa). I have got a BRP from my previous extension if that matters. I'd appreciate any help on this.
