If you have been resident for 3 years with valid visas throughout that time, you can apply now as spouse of BC without waiting 12 months on ILR. When you applied for spouse visa and it was issued, was your student visa still valid? yes ..my visa was valid and i applied for spouse visa in jan,2010 a...

If I understand correctly, you have just applied for your naturalisation? Or is this related to someone you know?

Re: How to identify letter from UKBA by looking at the envel

yes, both approval/invitation and acknowledgement comes in a A4 Brown envelope. It's normally stamped with advanced 2nd class. Not in my case, both acknowledgement and invitation letter came in A5 - folded once. Both were brown envelops though. Granted, that has been a while, maybe HO changed that....

I know of some people who applied through NCS and received only approval letters directly from UKBA. BTW, which council would send the citizenship invitation letter - the local council or the one where the applicant submitted the application at NCS? In my case, I used a council nearby for NCS as it...

Re: How to identify letter from UKBA by looking at the envel

Normally, it's a brown A4 envelope. Thanks!! Is this size (A4) used for both acknowledgement letter and approval letter? I remember getting my Tier-1 application acknowledgement letter on a A4 sheet, folded into half in a Brown A2 size envelope Also, are the envelopes easy to identify, just like th...

Re: How to identify letter from UKBA by looking at the envel

Hi Guys I recently applied for naturalization through my local NCS. However, I will be away from the UK for a few weeks and am worried that if UKBA/caseworker sends any letters I might miss them until I am back. I have requested my neighbour to look at my post each week while I am away and notify m...

Re: Approval letter - from Council or UKBA?

Hi Guys, I am aware that if your naturalization application gets approved then UKBA sends approval letter by post. But, some folks here have reported that they directly received letters from their council requesting them to book a date for the ceremony and did not get any letter from UKBA. I was un...

As I understood, as long as you don't have more than 1 FPN/PCN in the last 12 months, you should be OK.

Why don't you check with your insurance provider. Some comprehensive insurance covers you for third party on someone else's car.

Looking very much forward to my ceremony today, but got a bit of last-minute-panic. During the ceremony we will have to swear the oath of allegiance and the pledge of loyalty. Okay - but do we have to commit the oath/pledge to memory? I am totally useless with memmorising. Can we have a crib sheet,...

Your child can apply using MN1 although you rightly say it will be at the discretion. Why not wait until you are British and then your child can apply with your wife? In any case your wife won't qualify until you are British.
