It seems all Premium Service Booking will attract a Booking fee of £100. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/aboutus/contact/applyinginperson/cost/ . Not sure if this is applicable for ILR applications as well i.e. all premium service appointment will have to pay £100. I think all applications have t...

Thanks for your quick reply. I have a further question. My absence of more than 90 days was when I was under the HSMP. I was not working during the 93 days, because I was waiting for my job in the UK to start. Do you have an idea of whether I need to be employed during the time I was away? I didn't ...

> 90 days but < 180 days outside of UK

Hi, I have heard recently that when applying for ILR after a Tier 1 (general) visa), anytime outside of the UK for more than 90 days at a time means it's not counted towards the 5-year continuous period in the UK, even if absences are less than 180 days in any individual year. Is this correct? I hav...

Eligible to apply for ILR or extend Tier 1 visa?

Hi After the ILR changes earlier this year, I would like help with whether I qualify for ILR or whether I should apply for another extension of my Tier 1 (General) visa. The timeline of my stay in the UK are as follows: 1. HSMP valid from 1 June 2008 to 1 June 2010 Entered UK on 6 June 2008, left UK...

if the total number of days are 96 and the dates specified earlier were wrong then you wont qualify for ILR as the absence wasn't work related hence Oct 2013 is more realistic date. Thank you both kindly for your advice. I have resigned myself to spending lots of money again to apply for a Tier 1 e...

Re: ILR or 2nd extension of Tier 1?

Hi I have found this board to be very useful, but as I could not find a situation that is the same as mine, I would like to receive advice from others. My timeline is as follow: 1 July 2008: received EC as part of HSMP 7 July 2008: entered UK 24 July 2008: left UK to return home to finish my old jo...

You do not need a 2nd extension... Thank you for your quick response. Why do you say that I don't need a 2nd extension? I thought the rules are each visit outside of the UK must not be more than 3 months, otherwise the 5 years continuous residence is broken. I could be wrong, and this is the point ...
