Re: INDIAN PASSPORT RE-ISSUE/RENEWAL AT HIGH COMMISSION LOND

In the passport renewal online form there are 2 addresses to be mentioned - Address to be printed on passport and Other address. Does anyone know what we need to fill in the "Other address"? Does it need to be the UK address or we can mention the same Indian address we want to be printed o...

Re: Surrender certificate + OCI

Thanks. Can anyone who has applied for OCI confirm if the cancelled indian passport is required to be submitted along with the OCI application or just the surrender certificate is enough? The question is since we now need to upload documents - whether I need to upload a single document with the surr...

Re: Surrender certificate + OCI

When applying for the OCI if we have surrender certificate plus the surrendered passport is it necessary to submit any additional proof of indian origin such as birth certificate, domicile certificate etc? Or should the surrender certificate/old passport suffice?

Re: Return BRP after Citizenship Ceremony within 5 days

Hi ss332, You are right - it does seem that you cannot travel immediately after naturalisation till you have the new passport or other travel document (may be an emergency travel document). Gov.uk website states and I quote "You can’t use your biometric residence permit for travel once you’ve b...

Re: Return BRP after Citizenship Ceremony within 5 days

I am in the same situation as FayEng. I recently submitted my passport application via check and send and the guy at the passport counter insisted that a BRP needs to be sent with the application. I did ask him that it is not mentioned anywhere in the guidance or the form to which he replied that no...

Re: When is sworn affidavit for minor indian passprt require

Thanks Sushdmehta. The question indeed is whether the affidavit is needed only if the parent is not physically present at the time of application or is always needed if he is not a "resident" of India and is merely visiting India during the time of application. Can anyone guide me on this?...

Do we need to register the birth of the child in India with some British high commission before we can apply for the CoE to ROA? or just normal birth certificate from the municipal body is enough?

Re: Child born in India to British father and Indian mother

Appreciate the quick response. By this I understand the following - The child can claim Indian citizenship and get Indian passport. - However the child cannot get a british visa because the child is already a british citizen by descent. This is the reason why it needs to be Certificate of entitlemen...

Re: Tier 1 General Ext only until 2015

Hi,
Can anyone comment on this rule will affect extensions for dependants?

I have an ILR and my wife is on Tier 1 dependant visa. She will not qualify for ILR before April 2015.

Does the fact there they are stopping Tier 1 extensions in April 2015 affect extensions for dependants as well?

Thanks.

Re: PBS Dependant to ILR success @Croydon on 22/03/2014

Dear Tier1Gen, If you already have an ILR are you sure Set (O) is the right form just for dependants? if its only dependants applying for ILR I would have thought it would be Set (M) or FLR (M) that you need to fill up. As far as I understand Set (O) is applicable where dependants are applying along...
