My sincere apologies if this is a silly question. I am applying for naturalisation along with my wife and wondering if we still need to provide evidence for the english language requirement. We both got our ILRs in August 2015 (through Tier1 General route) so, as per the "English Language Requi...

Re: Original Passport with MN1 application

For peace of mind, I would suggest applying using NCS (nationality checking service) at the council (small fee payable) as then you get to keep ALL originals. Bear in mind that the child will have to be in the UK to enroll biometrics at the Post Office when you receive the letter from HO. Thanks CR...

Re: Long residence - short of a couple of months

I'm in a similar situation but I am only falling short of 9 days for 5 years completion for ILR on Tier1 general route. After reading this thread, I'm a bit confused on the appeal rights. Just in case in an unfortunate situation, if my ILR gets rejected, will I be eligible to appeal under ILR Set-O ...

Hi Not me again, Thanks for your reply.

Do you know if there is a way to phone HO and ask for the reference number? Can it be done?

Homeoffice Application Reference Number

Hello everyone, My current Tier-1 General visa is expiring on 25th October and I am planning to apply for my ILR via postal application on Friday, 22nd October so that the application can reach home office before my visa expires. Unfortunately, I don't have an option of going for the Premium Same da...

Re: Successful PEO/PSC ILR applications

I am very thankful to this forum for the amazing support. I got my ILR approved yesterday at the Glasgow PSC(Premium Service Centre) previously known as PEO. My experience was very smooth and I liked the new PSC. Apparently they've changed the rules recently and now allow you to take all your belong...

Payment dates on Payslips

Hello, I am self employed through my own limited company and planning to apply for my ILR in few days time and noticed a small issue with my payslips. The payment date printed on some of my payslips is different from the actual date of my salary credit to my bank account. The amounts are clearly sho...

Re: ILR - Falling short of 9 days.. what are my options... ?

I'm still a bit confused whether to go for the early ILR postal application with cheque payment as suggested here. Can anyone please confirm if the case worker will count my eligibility as on the day of case review or as on my application date which is obviously short of 9 days. I red in some other ...

Re: Category switch from Tier1(Main Applicant) to ILR Depend

Early extension(9 days earlier than the last 28 days limit) was due to some family reasons, and unfortunately we got the extension from the application date, which resulted in 9 days shortfall for ILR eligibility. Anyone here had been in similar situation with a very small shortfall for ILR and mana...

When does she meet the 5 years residence on her visa? What was the start date of her visa and when did she arrive in the UK? Re: Category switch from Tier1(Main Applicant) to ILR Depend

Her visa expires in November this year. She could apply for an extension before 6th April, but I am trying to avoid an extension to save some money if the postal application route is safe to cover the 1 week shortfall.

Re: Category switch from Tier1(Main Applicant) to ILR Depend

Thanks very much for your detailed reply. The reason why I am exploring this option is because my wife is falling short of a week(on top of the 28 days grace period) to qualify for her ILR. I've asked the question on this forum, but got mixed responses. Someone said that she defo needs another exgte...
