Were your daughters born inside the UK? What is their visa status at the moment?
What is the visa status of the other parent?

Re: help needed - baby's passport application

You will certainly need you nat cert for both, I think you can send it in one envelope. Why don't you ask the local post office when you go to pick up the passport application forms, they will know it for sure.

I don't know about the form but the officer is correct, your son will need ILR before he can apply for naturalization. If his current visa is not expired then I suggest you apply ILR asap.

Re: URGENT!!! MN1 form - help with referees

Get it signed by any two people even if they are not on the approved profession list. They are not very strict on MN1 for little children and I don't think they will make a fuss about a 3 month old child's referee. Worst case scenario they will ask you to provide another reference but they will not ...

The questions you have mentioned are normal questions, everyone is asked these including myself. As long as you got most of the things right don't worry everyone gets one of two wrong and forgets one or two things ..... its quite normal.

Re: Registering child as British Citizen

Hello Everyone We are in a process of sending MN1 form to register our son as British Citizen as we have been issued ILR. My son was born before our ILR application. We didn't include him in our ILR application as I believe we can register him directly as British Citizen under section 1(3) . I have...

Re: Good Character- Is it necessary to have wife's Council T

These days systems are computerized, the details are updated there and then. If you have informed the council and they have said that they have added the name to your council tax account and that they will send you an updated bill shortly then that's that .... you are all sorted.

Re: Good Character- Is it necessary to have wife's Council T

It takes only about 5 minutes to get your wife's name on the council bill and cancel the 25% discount ..... don't know what you mean by "process" ..... it took me just a phone call. I would certainly advise you to get at least council tax sorted before you make any application. Nobody know...

Re: passport application form section 8

Explain in additional info.
Are you adding previous passports? Normally previous passports are cancelled once they are renewed, sometimes they put a stamp on the cancelled passport rather than cutting the cover. You dont have to send them if this is the case.

Re: Child professional reference?!

For such young children they are not very strict. For my son we used a family friend who is also a childminder and it went smoothly. He was a little less than 3 so there is no chance anyone could have known him for 3 years :-) Don't stress too much about it, your references should be fine.

Thanks shahid2000, can the below situation be right then Travel to India on Indian passport. Like I said before I think this will be a problem without having a UK visa. Re: Travel outside UK for child (India passport and no UK vi

There is one immediate issue here, you might get problems from immigration on either sides if the child travels out of UK without a valid UK visa. He does not require a visa so long as he stays inside the UK because he is born here but I dont think he can travel without a visa. The right thing would...

Passport is the identity document, you should whatever last name is present on her passport.

She is applying for naturalisation which means she must have made some UKBA applications in the past. What last name did she use in those applications??? Use the same.

Your daughter never needed to be on ILR. When you got ILR in 2010 you could have applied for her naturalization straightaway. It will be same procedure now. You will have to apply for her registration/naturalization using form MN1. Once she has her naturalization certificate then you can apply for h...
