I have received a reply from passport advice line, apparently once your details have been verified they will send you the address to where you must send you old passport. Well It would have been nice if they could have mentioned this when I had completed the application Thanks for your help and time...

I was to the understand that when you present your documents you must photo copy them so the photo copy can be kept and you get the original returned at the place of submission.
They will not return your documents as they are photo copies.

This also will depend on which country etc.
