The UKBA has been pushing out licenses the past two days. 19 on the 29th and 26 on the 30th. Hopefully this is a indicator that more resources have been assigned and we'll hear back soon on our applications.

Hello,

I was wondering if your employee was already a registered sponsor or did they have to apply for a sponsorship license.

Thanks!

Hi sushdmehta, thanks for the reference. After a read, its still not quite clear to me on whether or not a PBS dependent does have a right to work in the UK. Any clarification you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Dependent VISA Right to Work

Hi, i'm currently waiting on a Tier 2 ICT Visa. However, the plan is to have my fiance apply as a Tier 1 dependent. My question is whether or not she has the right to work in the UK if she is approved and receives her dependent visa.

This has me very concerned. When your company's applied for the license did they use a solicitor to help them through the process. My company at least had the help of a US-based solicitor. But even so, has me concerned that they don't know the in and outs of the application process.

So this information was presented in the spring 2012 issue of the noted magazine? I'm assuming this was back in March timeframe? I'm crossing my fingers that they have made some progress in getting up to speed, but not feeling confident.

I think everyone is a little worked up. Let's not forgot that UKBA is at issue here. They're messing with people livelihood and that's just not fair.
