That's because UKBA believes in love more than they do in work ethics? :p Just kidding. Maybe they regard marriage lower risk motivation, and have a policy to process them quick. BTW, some M case takes ages, so no need for "beefing"! Wow! So no news from June SET O applicants yet? Maybe I'...

See this: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/newsarticles/2012/august/13-genuine-website I think you should report it as you've written here. Your details also go through a payment processing centre (basically a bank). Did you enrol your biometrics yet? If so where? Hi! I am not certain ...

Hi people! This is slightly off topic, but does any of you experience an increase in receiving spam SMS after you made ILR application? I have been getting quite few, and some even have my birth name in subject line, which I NEVER use other than official documents such as visa application! My suspic...

Re: Did you send your work permit with your application?

Thanks for your replies, Justiceseeker, NewtownDesi, I thought it was a bit strange that I wasn't asked for this... Wonder if this is THE reason for my slow progress?? and no acknowledgement letter!! I cannot call HO at the moment as my adviser is trying to get on the case for me, but I certainly su...

I am struggling to understand why people on this forum are complaining about how long their applications takes when they haven’t waited six months. If you want your application to take less than six months to process then you should have used the premium service. I know, totally agree with you. I p...

I don't know too much on that with regards to ILR, but when my friends were applying for student visa they all said "biometrics = approved". It seems possible you'd still be refused after bio, but unlikely? That is definitely good news! I applied 1 week after you, so fingers cross my lette...

Hi! My adviser said they haven't received it, though I have a sneaking suspicion that they've lost it. I don't really care, as personally not needing it, and money has been taken, plus have Royal Mail delivery confirmation. My payment was taken like 18 days after application was sent (1/8/12.) As fo...

My payment was taken like 18 days after application was sent (1/8/12.) As for acknowledgement letter, I have not received it yet, though my legal adviser may have lost it. I said the same things when I first applied for my university course in UK. Back then local student not only paid nothing to attend uni, but also they had grants so they can go shopping or take drugs with it (well students around me did.) When I complained and argued about extortionate tuition fees ...

I cannot agree with you more. I have applied postally knowing I need to wait more or less for 6 months, and it is said clearly so everywhere I looked that waiting is more or less for 6 months. Really don't understand some folks here applied at the same time or just before me (August) are panicking a...
