I have an engineering degree taught in English in the Philippines. But I believe it's not recognised by NARIC.

I have a question regarding the new requirement for knowledge of the language. On this document.. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/britishcitizenship/kol-uk It states the paragraph below on page 3. If you already have a qualification at B1 level Applicants who already have an ...

Re: Visa granted (we assume!!!)

Hi all Just wanted to let you know that the UKBA told me today that our documents were posted to us yesterday and should be with us by tomorrow, and also DX left a card in the letterbox for my husband meaning that they tried to deliver his BRP and which in turn means that he has been granted his vi...

What I can say is no one in the UKBA can really give you a clear answer other than the usual backlog crap. I can also honestly say that their customer relations team don't check your application. I've got the same emails all throughout my waiting time and in all 3 or 4 letters, they managed to get m...

So pleased for you :D Whatever the reason for the extended wait for your approval; you deserve a medal for patience. Maybe two. Congrats also to all those who have recently received good news. They've certainly been coming thick and fast this past couple of weeks. Soon, they'll be no one here at th...

We did a postal application to save money! Appointments at a PEO weren't avaiolable for another three months anyway. And because we had no idea it would take this long - we only found out when we started looking at this forum, the UKBA quoted the same old statistic about it taking three months so w...

In my case, I don't think contacting my MP and the rest helped at all. My MP hasn't received a response yet from UKBA to his last letter (9th January) and the last time I talked to them, they are still chasing for a reply. But I'm still thankful that my MP and his staff were not ignoring my letters ...

Yay! Congratulations! Not sure why but that gave me a bit of a relief as well, lol. Did you do anything to chase them up or just waited religiously? Oh I did everything I can from the moment my application reached its 6th month like contacting the MP, continuous calls to UKBA, filing complaints, se...

Re: ombudsdman

Hi White Queen- I have spoken with my MP about filing a case with the ombudsman on the basis of shambolic service from the UKBA and the clear manipulation of data to create the illusion of meeting performance indicators. I am all for this and I feel that if a critical mass of people send in cases o...

Hello everyone, i have been following this forum for quite a long time. I have also applied for a flr visa in march 2012 and as of yet i haven't received any news.
