Re: ILR Received

Dear Friends, Many thanks for your support. I have received an ILR after 6 Months. Application submitted on 12/07/2012. ILR received on 17/01/2013. Do you have any idea about the British Nationality qualification period. Would the Home Office will consider the 6 months within 12 months period of qu...

Re: Biometric invitations

Also, from my experience, irrespective of timeframes I believe nothing can be 'requested' until your application has landed on a caseworkers desk. Apparently at that point (or when they eventually get round to logging your application) the first thing that happens is the Biometric letter. I called ...

Suggestion to applicants

A suggestion to all applicants who did not receive their bio metric after 8 weeks from the application date. Bombard them with calls every day unless you get some sensible person who can request your biometric invitation. Not sure how long I would have waited had I not called UKBA atleast 7 times in...

Re: ILR timelines

Congratulations 02augILR and all the other August applicants that have had success recently. Its definitely good to see some progress is being made on these now (as well as the late June and July apps). However I must admit its damn frustrating seeing the apparent inconsistent processing times. I a...

Re: Biometric Invitation

Good luck to everyone who are waiting. I called UKBA to find out about my biometric invitation today. Strangely a guy who picked up asked me to wait for couple of minutes and told me that he sent a request to send my biometric invitation. Yesterday when I called them, a lady told me that I have to ...

UKBA - Response

I called UKBA today to find out the likelihood date on receiving the BRP invitation and the lady told me that "Case is yet to be created". Well, UKBA definitely needs to review their process in handling the applications. I am happy that atleast they didn't tell me to shut up and will not r...

I agree with you. A thousand pound is a ridiculous fee. This is usually people's three months savings. What I don't understand is that if the premium service takes couple of hours, how come postal service take 6 months??!! I can understand a month or two at max but 6 months is way too much unless y...

I am struggling to understand why people on this forum are complaining about how long their applications takes when they haven’t waited six months. If you want your application to take less than six months to process then you should have used the premium service. UKBA states in their acknowledgemen...

Re: acknowledgement Letter / Payment taked

Hi, Applied for SET(O) on 08.10.12. Payment through Banker's Draft. Asked the bank and confirmed draft not encashed. So I assume the acknowledge letter is going to take longer. Did anyone applied in October have their acknowledgement letter sent? My HR have been asking for this for their records. T...

Thanks for the reply

Thanks for the reply. But the guidance doesn't say anything about continuous absence for dependents. It only says about relationship for 2 years. My wife has been living with me here in UK for 6 years. But it is only the absence from 18.05.12 until the day we apply is the concern I have. I asked a c...

ILR Continuous Absence for Dpendents

Hi Experts, I am Sugadev planning to apply for ILR on 04.10.2012. My wife is in India from 18.05.2012 returning 02.20.2012. Since the continuous absence of herself and my daughter amounts to about 140 days, will our ILR application be rejected? I have not been absent for more than 20 days in any cal...
