Re: Home office cockup with address

You had three month from the approval date to take an oath or affirmation. After 3 months you will have to reapply for citizenship unless HO agrees to extend the deadline since it was their fault.

No point of calling them. They won't give you an update on your application.

Have you read and understood 'Booklet AN' and 'Guide AN' as prompted on the application form before applying?

Re: No acknowledgement and payment not taken yet.

Busy times at the olde Home Office offices due to too many Europeans rushed to apply for citizenships to avoid getting caught out by the upcoming EU referendum.

I wouldn't doubt for a second that they have received it. Check&Send is solid.

Was it when the new regulations about good character requirements were introducted ( I think in 2014)?

Re: Did anyone with late WRS registration get British Citize

I was about 5 months late but was granted citizenship no probs.

WRS had nothing to do with Immigration Law (it was related to something else I cant remember) so you were never in breach of it really.

I'm disgusted by those people. I'm so sorry you've encountered them.

Have you been in continuous employment or exercising Treaty rights for the duration of 5 years at any point of your presence in the UK?

Re: Change of address-December Applicant

Where did you write letters to? They should have been addressed to:

Change of address team
11th floor, Lunar House
40 Wellesley Road
Croydon
CR9 2BY

or

https://eforms.homeoffice.gov.uk/outrea ... pdate.ofml

which worked for me.

Your user ID is "Asia The Pooh", isn't that being dearly beloved? Ironically, you're asking for help on a forum where almost all the users are immigrants and I, for myself being immigrant, found your ID very offensive! How is it dearly beloved? You must have been living under a rock if yo...

Re: "document certifying permanent residence" without WRS

Did you have CSI (private health insurance, access to the NHS doesn't count) while you were self-sufficient? Thanks Lily. No, I hadn't. Does it change anything? How long was it exactly? Should be fine if no longer than 2 months I'd say. I had month long breaks in my 5 years and got my PR confirmed ...

You won't get any money back if your application is rejected. Doubt it will get rejected tho as long as it readable and letters not smeared all over.

Re: Does citizenship certificate count as proof of PR?

No.

Since you've been naturalised you're no longer a EU national in the eyes of the British legislature. You are British and British alone. Your wife will have to apply as a spouse of a British national.

EEA3 and WRS

Hi there, I'm due to apply for PR so I was hoping you could help me to clarify something. I've been browsing through numerous topics on this forum but failed to find the answer. I'm A8 national who moved to the UK in June 2007. I started working in September 2007 but did not register with WRS until ...
