Re: benefits of british citizenship

According to the Henley & Partner Visa Index 2012, holders of a British passport can visit 167 countries visa-free or with visa on arrival. Only Finland, Sweden, Germany and Denmark score higher . This map might also be of interest. Thanks for this vital information , very interesting indeed !!...

Don't worry about that , being a housewife is just perfect and besides , not having a job has nothing to do with good character , so enjoy yourself and you will soon be a BC :)

Re: Citizenship customer call centre fit for purpose or not

bugger off , silly sod Not sure what you are going on about, and what disgruntled you in such a way as to call me stupid and a silly sod. As I explained, the British immigration process is - while undoubtedly not without its flaws - overall a very well operating system. I think it offers a very rea...

Re: Citizenship customer call centre fit for purpose or not

Thanks aledeniz, I think that helps to put things into perspective. It really grinds my gears when I read what some people expect. As if the citizenship were an item that one can order on Amazon. As if the Home Office were a service provider. People are given the opportunity to get the citizenship ...

Re: Citizenship test.

Hi everyone, Sorry if this has been posted before but I could not find anything using the search function. I'm from EU and have been living in the UK since 1996 permanently. I am planning to apply for a British passport and as I understand I need to apply for citizen neutralisation first? And I've ...

There are more than a million items sent on fed ex or DHL each day and still it is feasible to track the real time progress of each and every parcel without overloading or delaying the system. So if UKBA would want to make their service better they can.. but they wont. For the £851 we pay, I would ...

Citizenship customer call centre fit for purpose or not ?

I have heard people come up with all sorts of anger and frustration towards the citizenship call centre and i wonder if this call centre is playing games with our minds or what ? These people have access to our applications like when we want to change details they can easily do that but when it come...

Hi Jumbo and trs2011, Thanks for your fast reply. It is impossible to reach the UKBA via phone, it goes to recorded messages… so the only option is to email them I guess. Do you know any other way to find this out? Maybe the mail just got simply lost … Do you happen to know what kind / class of mai...

Imagine if they had just refuse...

Re: redirection

hello everyone, I hope someone could help me with this enquiry. I have applied for BC early September via NCS and couple of days later the fee was already deducted from my account. Meanwhile I had to move out suddenly from my address so I have set up a redirection via Royal Mail. It’s been almost 2...

Then just press option 2 , they will answer . The thing is getting anything out from your application depends on who picks the fone , someone tells you someone will refuse to even ask your ref , so its just a matter of luck .

why having multiple nationalities ? Many want the British citizenship, but don't want to give up their original nationality. I am one of those pesky people as well. For some, the second nationality has practical advantages (especially for those outside the EEA), for others it is more a mental thing...

Well, I'm only going on my previous experience with the border agency who once tried to tell me that my EEA ID card was bad quality upon entry into the UK and got even more suspicious when I produced a US passport. They wanted to use my US passport to let me in but that would've been illegal in my ...
