1) Date application sent: 5th october
2) Date received by ukba: 8th october
3) Date payment deducted: 23rd october
4) Date of acknowledgement: 26 october (letter dated 23rd october)
5) Date of biometric: still waiting

Really hoping i receive biometric letter nextweek....

just be patient u will get it...

I recently request a return of documents on 1/10/2012 and i receive it on 4/10/2012 and i made a fresh applcation on the 5/10/2012

20 days are less....

UKBA has finally taken payment on the 23rd october they received my appplication 8th october my payment method was by visa debit,so i advise u to just wait they will take the money...

Finally they took payment this morning waiting on acknowlegement letter now

@Winner yeah im still waiting for payment to be deducted and acknowledgement letter really dont know why they taking so long and my case is pretty straight forward.... Its been 2weeks now since they received my application and i havent heard nothing since...

Ive applied from the 5th october ukba received it on the 8th october and payment still hasnt deducted and i havent received a acknowledgement letter just hoping that they take payment this week...

I was wondering if there's some backlog or someting why the delay... I check my account everyday and the money is still there. Not knowing whats going on is so stressful,especially if your working an need the acknowledgement letter, and its waste of time ringing the homeoffice because they wont give...

Good to hear that you got your acknowledgement letter. I applied under article 8 and a rite to family and private life in the uk. Got 2 kids who is british citizen. Ive already done 3 year of discretionary leave so i was sending back for a extention.
