Re: Settlement Visa application submitted without Appendix 2

Appendix 2 is an essential document in your application as it sets out in detail how you meet the financial requirement. Hopefully UKVI will ask you to send the document. As you have already tried to contact them, I don't think there is anything more you can do at this point.

Re: Rejected for Spouse Visa! NatWest bank statements!

I think there is no way round this. I have read of cases where online statements have been accepted but it is rare. Fortunately for us we did not need to use NatWest statements for our application abroad. My advice to be certain would be to return to UK and arrange for the bank to post the statement...

Re: UK spouse visa - urgent bank statement help

Could you arrange for someone in the UK to collect your statements from the bank and have them stamped by bank official or attach a letter from the bank authenticating the account details and statements. UKVI can be very precise insisting bank statements are originals. I do not know if they would ac...

Re: Public fund after spousal visa

If the children are British, I was under the impression that they would not be counted in the savings requirement and that it would remain at £62,500? If you are granted the visa based on savings, you could both work and your joint salaries would hopefully meet the income requirements (which may of ...

Re: £600 surcharge for entry clearance?

A British national does not have to pay the surcharge, but anyone applying for either a spousal visa or an extension (FLR(M)), does. A British national would not apply for any visa to enter or remain in the UK.

Re: Older dependent relatives

Just to confirm that adult dependant visas are very difficult to get. A close friend of mine, over seventy years old, still grieving over the loss of her husband and with strong ties to the UK has been denied such a visa. It was not surprising as she did not meet the criteria but her son applied for...

We also applied using savings only and only filled in 3F. No details of employment as that might confuse the issue. As to your other question, I will interested to see what others say. If I remember correctly we did not know if we should fill that part out and did put in £18,600 but in the part avai...

Re: Moving from Israel to England - need help

We did not certify any of our copies. I copied everything except for the Application form and Appendix 2 to send to UKVI as they tend to then keep the copies and return the originals. I also kept a copy of everything for our records, including the applcation form and Appendix 2.

Re: Bringing parents to UK

A friend of mine has just submitted her application in this category. She is financially independent but isolated abroad having lost her husband just over a year ago. It is very unlikely she will be granted the visa but I will keep you updated. Unfortunately she has been told it might take up to fou...

Re: mistakes in choosing correct form for dependent visa

My impression is that, once you have given your biometrics, you cannot be refunded but you can withdraw the application and reapply under the correct category. It is a pity that the officials doing the biometrics did not realize it was the wrong application form. A friend of mine went to do her biom...

Re: Sponsorship Undertaking Form - SU07/12

Once you can show savings of at least £62,500 held in a readily accessible account for at least the past six months, you do not need to show evidence of a job when you come to the UK. You must declare the source of the savings. All our accounts are in joint names so we both wrote a declaration. We j...

Re: Sponsorship Undertaking Form - SU07/12

Not sure I can help with all your questions but are you sure you need the Sponsorship form when applying from Angola? It is mainly used for dependent visas but I know some countries seem to require them. In any case, even though you are not presently in the UK, you, as a UKC, are considered settled ...

It really does appear that you can only fill in 73E. In two years time I will be filling in this form and applying under the same category! Please update us when you have had your appointment. Maybe a covering letter to explain why you could fill in anything before 73E?

Wanderer, are you sure 'no recourse to public funds' includes NHS ? If that were so, nobody on spousal visa and other similar visas would be able to get NHS treatment either.

We applied in mid February and got the approval mid April. Ours was very quick! This new procedure of passport and application being sent to Jamaica and supporting documents being sent to Sheffield confuses me, I have a friend who us now applying so she has to follow the new instructions.

Re: NHS

You have been given good advice already. It is much better to declare any previous treatment, private or NHS. My husband had received private treatment and explained in detail on his application that he had paid for treatment. He got his visa. It is always better to be honest.
