Re: biometric enrolment for applications made before 6th Apr

Hi there, I'm applying for my naturalisation next week and I just found out about the new changes. I need to travel for work for about 2 months after I have submitted my documents. My question is, will NCS keep my permanent residence biometric card? Can I travel after I have applied?

Re: Excess absences due to business travel

Thanks Milan, really appreciate your response. A couple of more queries if you don't mind responding:

1. How do I proove that I have maintained UK my home? I'm single and don't own a property.
2. Can I apply NCS? Will they return my passport?

What have been other people's experiences?

Re: Excess absences due to business travel

Would 13+ years I have spent in this country not count? They say if you have been outside the country for 900 days, you should have been here for the past 8 years. Please could you clarify?

Re: Naturalisation application concerns.

Thanks for the clarifications but can anyone share their success stories where they had cross 90 days period and were absent for over 200 days in the final year? And what documents did you submit?

I'm an international aid worker and have been doing this for the last 14 years. My work involves extensive travelling. I have ILR and had exceeded the required amount of days in the past before I applied for ILR last year. However, the CW applied discretion and I was granted ILR. I received my ILR o...

Applying for British Passport after ILR

Hi there, I recieved my ILR on the basis of 10 years long residency on 31 Jan 2013. I had to travel back to India for a month and a half straight after that due to an unfortunate situation. @sPiDeRy_tHrEaD Thanks for your email. You are right I may have to withdraw the application, and it might take a couple or more weeks for them to return my passport. Thanks for your reply. I really appreciate it. I find UKBA policies really unfair and lopsided. We spend thousand of pounds and this is the service we receive. I am not sure why do we have to accept their policies that create so much stress and put people's lives on hold. Why can't we sign a petitio...
