Hi Glauco, If I read your concern correctly, you need the 3rd shot for Hepititus B, is that correct? You don't need to go to a NHS doc for that. Try calling a British Airways Travel clinic, for instance, who maybe able to help you (for a fee of course). I don't know where you are located but they ha...

Thanks John and Joseph, The expected time out of the country initially is 6-8 weeks with trips back to the UK on weekends, with the possibility of further work continuing after. Independently my company has also made a query on my behalf and has found out that the 90 days can go up to 180 days if I ...

UK citizenship appl - 90 days in last year?

Hi all, I am now into year 5 prior prior to applying for citizenship next March. According to Guide AN (New), the applicant 'should not have been absent from the United Kingdom for more that 450 days of which no more than 90 days should have been taken in the last 12 months'. To date, since arriving...

Hi zeke- Last year when I applied for HSMP I also had to provide proof of jobs in companies and organisations that no longer exist or have been renamed. I sent offer letters, job specs and performance evaluations that I still had in my files. For each company I provided a cover sheet with the specif...

Back in 2001, I also only received a rubber stamp type stamp in my passport (for 18 months). My company had to request an extension (because they hadn't been in business for more than a year) - the second stamp in my passport had an end date of xx Sep 2006 for my work permit. If I hadn't the drama o...

Hi Zeke, I just looked through my files of letters from my previous UK company AND ones I've received from the Home Office and in almost all they do not use their letterhead for the second page either. Too expensive, I imagine. Just like Deborah says, if the 2nd or 3rd page has the signature that sh...

So, orthopod, does that mean you got your ILR? I can't tell from your post. I went to Croydon for my ILR interview this week too. I brought 3+ months current account and savings bank statements, proof of my mortgage, company pension money, all my Home Office work permit letters including my HSMP app...

Xenonk When I called the 3304 and 3305 numbers and finally got thru, the woman said they weren't processing FLR urgents in that building and was about to give me another number...until she realised my app was for HSMP. She said, oh yes, we do that here, hold on, let me check. Perhaps you should call...

They now seem to give Residence permit stickers with your photo now. They look nothing like the old Work permit stamps so there is no way really to tell by what means you have approval just by looking at the sticker. I was surprised by this when I got my last work permit.

Mwazir-

Sorry to be bothering you with so many questions, but which phone number did you call? On the receipt acknowledment letter that you unfortunately never received they list the following in the letterhead only:

0114 274 3304 and 0114 259 5777

thx

In the explanation for Other on the urgent form, did you add a further explanation other than the 'employment based on HSMP approval' as suggested by the HO employee? I'm not sure how much of my sob story  to put down.

thanks in advance,
m. (wish you could see my big grin :D )

Mwazir - this is excellent news that will help me too! I am here originally on work permit - since 2001. My company was planning to make my group redundant by the end of June 2004 - which they subsequently did. I applied for HSMP in April but didn't get the approval until the beginning of October. H...

Hi tech- I have friends who swear by umbrella companies. I also have friends who prefer to go it on their own (Ltd.) and just pay an accountant to do the paperwork. Seems like 6 on one hand, half dozen blah, blah, whatever that cliche is. I'm trying to work out which is best for me at the mo also. I...
