Tier 2 Teacher..Can I mark exam papers for AQA 4 xtra cash?

Hi All,

I have been sponsored by a college as a lecturer. I would like to mark GCSE and A level exams to get extra cash. Am I allowed to do this? Also, AQA does not pay examiners per hours, it'e per question.

Your response is very much appreciated.

Re: Sponsored as a Teacher, can I start tutoring in own time

Hi Manci,

I know that we are allowed to work 20 hrs more as long as it's in the same area. As mentioned before I am a college teacher. Will it be okay to be an AQA examiner, marking GCSE papers?

I don't want to do anything that will ruin my chances of getting an extension.

Thank you

Sponsored as a Teacher

Hi All,

I am currently sponsored as an FE teacher but I am also a qualified Biomedical Scientist which falls under phd level.

If I was to apply for for a Tier 2 as a Biomedical Scientist do I have to have the senior salary or entry?

I am just thinking of my options here.

Thank you

Physicskate, I am a teacher sponsored by an FE college. Am I allowed to do tutoring in my own time for 5-10 hrs a week or do I have to let the home office know about it? It does look hopeful as they are requesting the applicant's passport. Why would the ECM need it if they are just going to refuse again? Don't they need the passport if they upheld the original decision? Also, if it is granted, should my partner get the same expiry date as I have on my BRP? How long...

I am scared that they will come up with a new refusal.
