British citizen travelling to Canada via usa

Hi all

I have recently got my British passport and am travelling to Canada. The flight to Canada is via usa. Do I need a transit visa for usa? If yes then please can anyone suggest the procedure and timescales. Thanks ever so much.

Hi all

Is it true that one has to leave a 6 month gap before re applying as a family visitor?

I.e if my parents went back in november 2012, can they re apply and come back or do they have to wait for 6 months before theh can re apply

The processing time is currently 3-6 months. On what are you basing that? The timeline sticky seems to indicate 5 weeks for most applications. Received the acknowledgement today and it says processing times are upto 6 months? In case i dont hear in 5 weeks or so than is there any way i can request ...
