Many congrats

Many congratulations!

Well about a WP letter.

My employer received a letter from the HO stating all the details of my employment. This is the letter I need to carry with my passport.

So your emplyer should receive the same kind of letter soon or later.

Take care,

Special delivery

Hello again! I sent my FLR application by special delivery and as far as I remember, I was able to trace my post without difficulties. I cannot remember to which post office/ postal district it was sent, but it was certainly not a PO box. Have you spoken to the HO about this issue??? They might help...

No letter with my passport!

Hi Vin123, According to your comment, it seems that applicants should receive a letter along with their stamped passport. But I haven't received such a letter when I got my passport back. I only received a letter of approval for my FLR. Apparently something is missing...because I haven't got any doc...

Thanks for your clear explanation.

I'm little experienced as a WP holder so any advice/comment is so helpful.
Many thanks!

Thank you!

Hi Vin123.
Thank you so much for your quick reponse.

So does it mean that I can put my new address when I extend my WP and FLR (or even apply for ILR) in the future? I thought it would be a problem if I hadn't notified the HO beforehand.

Many thanks!

Change of address

Hi members, I looked through FAQ and all the previous topics but still cannot find any info. I cannot get thgough to the HO, either! (yet again!) So please allow me to ask some questions. I've got a WP and moving to a new flat soon. I understand that I have to inform the HO of my new address in writ...

My case

Hi ish_78! I have exactly the same question. I got a WP approval letter and a FLR sticker on my passport but I'm wondering where is my 'WP certificate' if such a thing exists. The lines written in your WP letter seems roughly the same as mine. I thought I would receive a certificate type of document...

My WP

Hi asif. Thank you for your message. I understand the HO often make some odd mistakes. In my friend's case, the HO sent ONLY a 'sticker', WITHOUT passport!!! How could it happen?! The reason why I'm so worried is because the letter sent with my passport clearly says 'a letter from the WorkPermits is...

Acknowledgement letter

Hi K2004, Yes, I forgot to mention it but I received an acknowledgement letter a few days ago. I really didn't expect to get my passport back so soon. The date on the letter is the 19th. They (finance office in Cannock) should have received my application on the 16th (I sent out on the 15th in fact)...

WP+FLR total in three weeks!

Hi members Thank you always for providing useful information and answering my questions! Today I received my passport with a residence permit sticker. :D I had been really nervous since I heard that the process would take 6-8weeks. WP application

Hi ish_78. My employer applied for my WP around 5th July and got a WP approval letter on the 13th. So it took me about one week. This might be because my profession is in 'shortage occupation' category (teacher). If your employer still hasn't got anything, you should ask them to contact the WP offic...

FLR

Hi K2004 Congratulations on your WP extension!!! As far as I know, the approval process of WPs is fairly quick. In fact, they gave me a permit within a week. The problem is FLR (extension of leave to remain), I think. It would take 6-8weeks, so I strongly advise you to send your application for FLR ...

HO and Inland Revenue

Hi Sam When my friend got a WP, she (bravely) asked the home office how they know if the person begin working or not, and then they told her the story (Inland Revenue has a resoinsibility of reporting to HO if the person has income and pay tax etc...so the HO has the data). So i'm quite sure of it, ...

New system

Hi Edi The rules and system have changed a lot since your employer applied for your work permit. In fact, my friend got hers just a few months ago but now the system totally changed. Basically, employers now just apply for work permits. Applications for leave to reamin are now separate. So either em...

Hi Sam. I'm a newly qualified teaher starting in September and in the same situation as yours. Fortunately I got my work permit within a week so now I need to get FLR (further leave to remain). Switch to full workpermits

Hi Edi Sorry to interrupt your topic but I want to ask you something. I posted a topic to ask about TWES 'is TWES right for me?'.
