I agree. According to the Diplomatic Procedures for EC ( http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/servlet/Front?pagename=OpenMarket/Xcelerate/ShowPage&c=Page&cid=1035899061659 ) it clearly states with respect to attending interviews that: For interviews, auditions or "trials" People wishing to go...

Unless you are extremely overlimit the bank has put a stay on your CC, your CC should not be rejected. The simplest reason could be that the CC details (number, start/end date, name as is exaclty on the card etc.) provided may have been wrong.

A similar topic started by Chess some time back about spouse not joining HSMP applicant also did result in any conclusive answers. But, Indoswiss, since you don't plan on using "spouse points", your wife can join you in the UK anytime that is convenient. She will have to go in for EC separ...

You should certainly take up this issue with the HSMP team. After all you have the evidence to prove that your documents have been lost by them. In fact your documents might simply have been misplaced and this will force them to take the trouble and look for it. Also, this matter should not affect y...

With HSMP in hand more UK companies will be inclined to consider you for a position, then you will have a choice between starting in the UK or continuing with what you are doing at present. Its best to apply when the rules and conditions are more favourable for the success of your application.

The first question is easier to answer. 2nd August is the date they have received the application and will be considered as such. However, with regards to your original documents, you could try getting duplicates of your certificates and other documents. You have 18-20 weeks from now to do that befo...

I don't think daughter's birth certificate will be accepted as evidence. However, the other documents that you have mentioned should suffice. Address is the most important thing !!

You need to send in evidence only if you are claiming points under any category. You do not have to score points in all categories and as long as you have the minimum eligibility points (which you have), you application will be reviewed. All the best.

Just curious to know which professionals form the major share of successful HSMP applicants. Of course it would be more relevant to have data about the percentage of successful applications from each profession. Just curious.

Statistics - HSMP profession

Is there any data available as to people from which profession e.g. IT, finance, biological science, engineers (chem, mech. Etc.) have been successful for HSMP? Maybe successful forum members can give us an idea. Just trying to figure out if any professions are given particular advantage.

HP,

You will need to show "a body of evidence" for claiming achievement points. At least 3 if not more types of achievements mentioned in the form might be a good starting point. What other documents have you provided for this?

Dino123,

NI number is not a pre-requisite for a job. Your employer will provide a temporary number, the disadvantange being, a higher tax+NI contribution will be deducted. But, fear not...the extra amount can be reclaimed.

There are some posts which talk about medical certificates and x-rays, but to the best of my knowledge, a person entering the UK on visitors or work visa is not asked for either. It would be good if someone who has entered under HSMP gives their input. Don't see why it should be different though.

From the minutes available in the "User Panel" on "workingintheuk" website, an average of 600 applications are being received per week. This brings in cool £90,000 per week or over £4,680,000 per year in fees alone. If I were heading the HSMP, I would further reduced the eligibil...
