Would previous overstay in the UK be a problem if an application was made for entry clearance?

No such requirement Thanks for the reply. However , what does this mean: For both entry clearance and leave to remain applications if the child normally lives with their other British Citizen or settled parent or carer:  the applicant in the parent route cannot be the partner of this British Citiz...

Re: S.S Cover Letter

Dear members, my FP under S.S has been refused. We have been living in Germany for 10 months. Have EU RC, wife's been working, rental agreements, insurance and I believe strong COL. But despite all of this UKVI refused my application. Refusal wording: Regulation 9 was amended on 1 January 2014 to i...

From what I know you could submit documents in German as they have bilingual caseworkers aswell. Alot of people going S.S in Germany provided documents in German and were given FP's without any problem.

Re: Are 12 hours enough for FP

The EU citizen only earns 450 euros per month as its only a part time employment with about 12 hours a week. The total combined income of the EU and Non EU citizen is about 900 Euros. If the combined income was taken into account then the 150 GBP criteria would be met. On another note, both the EU a...

Are 12 hours enough for FP

Dear members,

I would like to know if 12 hours of work per week would be sufficient to get FP under S.S?
Would it also help if the non EU was also working 20 hours per week to prove that the "centre of life" has moved?

Thanks in advance.

Re: UK to leave EU - Surinder Singh consequences?

Sorry, I'm just a little confused. Would I not be considered an EEA citizen? The family permit says Residence card of a Family Member of an EEA National. I assumed you were British. If you're British and the UK leaves the EEA, you won't be an EEA citizen. Why should the EU negotiate to protects the...

Re: UK to leave EU - Surinder Singh consequences?

It's quite nice here apart from the language barrier but hopefully that shouldn't be a problem if we plan on staying here.

What if we were to get EEA2 in time before the UK leaves the EU officially.I'm sure people on EEA2's won't be kicked out.

Re: UK to leave EU - Surinder Singh consequences?

Me and my BC spouse have been resident in Germany for last 3months, I have been issued with a German residence card which is valid for 5 years. Would it be possible for usbto do S.S, are there any risks for us in future? Well you clearly won't have time to come back to UK and reside there for 5 yea...

Thanks for the suggestion. To be honest it was also my gut feeling to avoid mentioning case-laws. One could always mention them if they do get refused though.

PR under Self-Sufficiency

Dear members,
I would like to know if the non-EU spouse of EU citizen could get PR if the EU citizen was self-sufficient on the basis of non-EU citizen working/providing for the EU citizen??
I look forward to your replies.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Does the latest new EU Deal bring any effect to SS route

What would happen to people who are already in their host state or are going to be in their host state before the referendum?
Surely, if they have been been issued Schengen visas or Residence cards on the basis of freedom of movement, they can continue with their SS route under the current rules ?
