From what I know you could submit documents in German as they have bilingual caseworkers aswell. Alot of people going S.S in Germany provided documents in German and were given FP's without any problem.

It's quite nice here apart from the language barrier but hopefully that shouldn't be a problem if we plan on staying here.

Thanks for the suggestion. To be honest it was also my gut feeling to avoid mentioning case-laws. One could always mention them if they do get refused though.

OK, so after reading all this I'm starting SS in 2 weeks,what are the possible outcomes/sceninarios if the non-eu family members receives the host member states residence card before the referendum?

What would happen to people who are already in their host state or are going to be in their host state before the referendum?
Surely, if they have been been issued Schengen visas or Residence cards on the basis of freedom of movement,they can continue with their SS route under the current rules ?
