Re: Tier (Gen) to ILR - SET(O) Form Question

Hi Raghu, So, did you tick the box against this question? I am in exactly same position as you were: Student + PSW + Tier 2 gen. My appointment is day after tomorrow, and still confused due to different arguments in this forum. I have ticked this box and have included photocopies of previous visa. T...

ILR Fees - Loan Deduction

Dear experts, I am going to apply ILR on 16th March using premium same day appointment. My company provided me loan of £2887 (BACS payment to my A/C) to pay the ILR fees and will deduct £200 each month from Feb 2018 to Jan 2019 (total £2400). Remaining £447 is their generous contribution to the fees...

Re: Absences Rule Clarification

Just a gentle reminder.
Would appreciate any help please.
If this has any impact on application, I may delay it by 6 months or so.

Re: Absences Rule Clarification

Dear CR001 & other respected members, Since the goal post has recently changed on how we calculate the continuous absences, I wondered if you could help me reassess my situation. Below is the list of my absences from UK with their reasons, in reverse chronological order. I have not included the ...

Re: Big changes to continuous residence rule for ILR applicants under PBS

Hi Vinny, Thanks for enlightening us. Seems like we should keep checking this forum everyday to keep abreast with the latest HO development. My question though is, if an employer has sent me for short secondments/ business visits outside UK to fulfil the purpose of my employment, will they count tow...

Re: Absences Rule Clarification

You need to submit the absence letter (HR can do one to confirm absences) and a letter confirming that '.....Mr/Mrs/Miss xyz will be required in the role/job for the forseeable future....'. Both or one letter for both, is mandatory for Tier 2 General. Okay. Well, thanks CR001 for giving your valuab...

Re: Absences Rule Clarification

Why do you think you are not possibly eligible? My post clearly states the absence rule. You must submit an absence letter from your employer. Thanks again for the reply. Why would I need "absence letter" from employer if my absence from UK is under 180 days each year? (I would need to gi...

Re: Absences Rule Clarification

Assuming the question is for you on Tier 2 general and not your dependent, it is 180 days PER 12 month cycle. A 12 month cycle is counted backwards from the date of ILR application. Thanks a lot. I updated my question with further information, which was incompletely posted due to my thick fingers! ...

Absences Rule Clarification

Dear experts, I have got confused over the absences rule in ILR. I thought I understood it but reading through threads puzzled me. Current leave - Tier 2 General. Is the 180 days limit based on 180 days per year (so basically 5 x 180 = 900 days in total), or, 180 years total in 5 years? I would have...

Re: Dependent Eligibility for ILR

Thanks for the reply @iWorker. Things are clearer now. Regarding my wife's visa - once u get ilr, your wife will need to apply for extension of pbs dependent. she will get 3 years extension. she can apply ilr when she has been in uk for 5 years. So, I take that she would have to apply for Tier 2 dep...
