Re: Maintenance of funds: ISA account

Thanks for the answer B. My wife got her visa last week (thank god!). We showed her HTB ISA account as evidence along with all other bank statements (but only with ISA account, we were able to meet the maintenance funds).

Re: Maintenance of funds: ISA account

Dear Char, Can you please clarify a bit further why a help to buy ISA cannot be used towards maintenance? The policy guidance says that the funds should be in the form of 'Cash'. And in my opinion, HTB ISA is a cash account just like any other account as I am able to withdraw money from it any time ...

Help to Buy ISA for Maintenance - Case awaiting further information on maintenance funds

Dear All, Can we show funds from Help to Buy ISA towards meeting maintenance requirements? Here is my current situation. I got my ILR by Aug 2018 via Tier 2 route and my dependants' Tier 2 extension application was made in Apr 2019. I had used a letter provided by my company towards meeting the main...

Re: General or Shortage Occupation visa category

You can check the COS issued by your employer.
The COS has a line - "Is the job on the current shortage occupation list?: Y". My COS has it and I applied for Shortage Occupation Visa.

Please make sure the type of visa that you apply for matches with the one mentioned in the COS.

Re: General or Shortage Occupation visa category

A dependent tier 2 visa is what you apply for. It does not matter if you are in a shortage occupation visa or what your SOC is. It has no bearing on the dependent visas Visa fee for the dependants is different. For the shortage occupation category, it is 437 pounds. otherwise it is 575 pounds (for ...

Re: General or Shortage Occupation visa category

Thanks for your responses! I confirmed from my company that a) Shortage occupation will not be printed on the BRP Card as it is still under Tier 2 General Category. b) While selecting the visa type of Migrant's visa application from within UK, there is no option of 'shortage occupation category' ava...
