They are decided on the 11th of the month (or the next working day after the 11th if that's at the weekend or a holiday) - so I don't see why Christmas would affect it.

Section 3C(3) of the 1971 Immigration Act states that 3C leave will cease to apply if the applicant leaves the UK - so if you last visa has already expired you cannot travel without your case being withdrawn. I would not be surprised if some other rule withdraws an application if you were to travel ...

You're going to need to change those plans!

It's not possible to switch from Tier 2 ICT Long-Term into Tier 2 General. You would need to leave the UK, wait 12 months, and then apply under Tier 2 General (using a restricted CoS).

Hi All, Just wondering if you could help me is it possible to change employment if you are on a restricted COS. If yes then do you have make an application from outside the UK and is RLMT still required if you don't want to change the job code. Please advise. Previously being granted a 'Restricted'...

Re: Visa switching

If I come over on a visitor visa for 6 months, can I switch to a tier 2 work visa without leaving the country? For example. I come over for 6 months, but while I am there, I find a company that wants to sponsor me for a job. What do I do? Ditto what Greenie said, although there is currently an exce...

The CoS fee (£179) only covers the 'work permit' bit - you still have to cough up for the visa - unless they have agreed to pay for that as well (which would be unusual in my experience but not unheard of). If they are paying for the Tier 2 visa application you'll want to take the completed form(s) ...

Can't see why it would - unless the reason for refusal also impacted on your existing visa, e.g. UKBA found you had been working illegally - they frown on that!

This is more of an employment law matter, it will come down to what it says in your contract - 1 month written notice would be quite common.

The bit about working in India probably refers to your employment for the company overseas before you came to the UK.

Yes, licence has been approved.

CoS may have been given, check with your employer.
