Yes.

But now my condition has changed. I had withdrawn my resignation and hence eligible for my own ILR. My previous posts were when I had resigned and was looking to get dependant on my husband's ILR.

thanks,
Madhu

Tier 1 (general) to Citizenship

Hi,

Please let me know if I can apply for Citizenship directly after completing 5 years in Tier 1 General without applying for Indefinite leave to remain.

I have passed the Life in the UK and also have IELTS score for English.
I came to UK on 17th September 2008.

Thanks,

That is true, but things were unavoidable. Bad luck you can say :(
My husband will apply for ILR in person.

My tier 2 ICT expires on 9th jan 2014 and my last working day is 19th july. My query is how long can i stay after my last working day before i am considered as an overstayer?

Thanks,
Madhu

I got curious after reading the below clause: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/partners-families/citizens-settled/spouse-cp/can-you-apply/ Can you 'switch' if you are already in the UK? You may be allowed to switch into the category of partner ...

the link for ILR in your reply says: ----------------- At present, your partner must have lived with you in the UK for a minimum of 5 years or 2 years if they had been granted leave as your partner before 9 July 2012 and continuously since then, before they can apply for settlement.
