Re: File dormant account for first year

Do you not even have business expenses for the first year, i.e. absolutely no activity took place relating to the business at all? I know of a couple of businesses who had £0 revenue for the first year, but were asked to prepare accounts as actively trading businesses (when they contacted the HMRC) ...

Re: BR Code Employee

Zimba,

The guidance does not say anywhere that you cannot hire someone working elsewhere part-time or full-time.

It is entirely possible that your employee works for you for, say, 30 hours during the week and 10 hours over the weekend for some other employer.

Re: Start new business or wait until extension

:o Where does it say that HO prefers you stick to your original investment plan? So you are asking if to make a bad investment (in your eyes) just for extending the visa. Just some points to think about: 1. How much are we talking about £5000 left to invest (yeah get the extension simply) or £195,0...

Seems ok but make sure to include a covering letter to explain how you meet the requirements.

Start new business or wait until extension

I have found a new investment opportunity that I am keen to get involved in. However, the amount of investment that the business will require in terms of capital and manpower is significant. My current business has not failed, it is doing ok, but at the current rate, it will only begin to break even...

Biometrics

I went for my biometrics today and there was some problem with the scans so the fingerprints had to be taken again and again. Does the UKBA get in touch to let applicants know that the biometrics were alright?

Also what kind of business did he opened? what kind of his customer was (e.g retail). If UKBA did ask about customer qualification then it must be ...

It's slightly unfair to assume that the Thread Poster intends to abuse the system. It may well be a...

The entrepreneur visa allows you to work as an entrepreneur only. You cannot be employed by other firms.

Only the rule that third party documents must confirm ongoing access to funds is not retrospective, everything else is.

It isn't a must, but providing a business plan will probably strengthen your application as it will show that you are serious about running and expanding your business.

Don't challenge the judgement; you are unlikely to succeed. Instead, you should reapply and provide the third party documents to fulfill the criteria set by the UKBA.
