It seems to me that nationals from countries like India or Pakistan are sometimes stigmatized, I also assume that you want to leave soon after you get married? Your case may become complicated either way, even if you make it "strong" in a sense that you will prove your relationship to be s...

I would say that some of your questions are difficult to answer, because if you read this forum you will find out that what is in theory is very often different in practice. I think I won't lie if I say that most especially in case of applying for UK. You are better off to apply for visa while your ...

Beware!!! Big Brother is watching us And how do you define UKBA? it sounds like it is some kind of CIA or something. If it happens that some UKBA person reads it , it is far from likely that there is any organized enterprise for any particular reason. They can't deal with applications on time you th...

They knew all about my history that i had traveled to Philippines before we met, and made some most ridiculous allusion to that without actually explaining what it all meant. Like I had no right to visit Philippines before I met my wife :-) wt*.... seriously? how they can do like this? looks like i...

swordfish i didn't mean that you should live in Latvia, my point is that you can apply to any EU country and then travel by land to UK and get 2 months residence stamp. Also registering in Latvia your marriage can be done most likely by family of your wife there you send marriage certificate transla...

Personally I don't see any problem about revealing this information in my wife's case of applying for family permit, me EEA national wasn't allowed to be inside embassy and questions asked to my wife were of no essence. I wish we had a real opportunity to be asked about what did we eat last night or...

The embassy will know everything so no point to try to hide it, both with my wife had similar situation, the application for FP is very different to schengen one, and most of ECO's dealing with them are approaching those applications with prejudice to immigration control of UK. In your case where yo...

Aine perhaps if you seek compensation from Ryan air they will allow your flight if they are to admit that it was wrong of them not to let both of you fly.

I think I read about someone who actually managed to get airlines to confirm with UKBA that they are allowed to enter UK.

What are you going to do now Pablito? I will also make complain to Solvit about UK embassy in Warsaw. According to this http://eumovement.wordpress.com/2007/04/15/requirements-for-a-short-stay-visa-family-of-eu-citizen/ they don't have right to ask anything else except marriage certificate and pass...

I think the obvious mistake is that it shouldn't be non-EEA national to declare in a letter , but EEA national. In my opinion you should re-apply with the same details as before but this time the letter should come from EEA spouse. I would personally provide the same details as you did before and wh...

Sorry to hear the news. Obviously if you can travel with your husband just do that, or if you have some time to fight back than also try that. First if you appeal make sure to point it out to them that they deter your EEA spouse right to free movement as she cannot leave without you since this would...

The only problem you may encounter is with airlines, so to avoid problems either check with the airlines if they will board you in or just apply for schengen visa. You should be able to get it in few days time.

I think if there is level of incompetence then it is to be blamed on UkBA or on whoever is responsible for implementation of law in their own guidance for ECOs. Secondly i think this 'drop in the ocean' is a good start, if there are more people who would be aware that life is not only about satisfyi...
