absent days, departure and arrival dates in or out?

Hi

When you are counting absent days from the UK for ILR, do the departure and arrival dates count as dates in the UK or away?

For example, if you left the UK on Jun 1st and came back on Jun 3rd, is that 1 day away or 3 days away?

Thank you

I was wrong.. there is a sweet spot for ILR

Actually I enhanced Excel and did re-calculation and found that actually there is a date when I can apply and it would split the away dates in 2010 and 2011 in such a way that one year would be 173 days away and next year would be 174 days away. Just scraping under 180 days per year limit!! I am ass...

Re: Tier 2 intra company transfer extension limit

Unfortunately most of the travel was in 2010 and 2011. I was away for about 147 days in 2010 and 195 days in 2011, and this makes me being away for over 180 days in any consecutive 12 months period, no matter how I look at it. This depends on the actual dates. The five 12 months consecuitive period...

Re: New rules and 180 days per 12 months limit

Actually after some research, I think I can answer my own question. In the doc "Calculating continuous period in the UK" http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/policyandlaw/modernised/cross-cut/ilr-calculating-continuous/ilr-calculating-continuous.pdf?view=Binary it even g...

Re: Tier 2 intra company transfer extension limit

Hi, I arrived in June 2007 with 3 year work permit and it was extended once in 2010 as tier 2 ICT for another 2 years (until Jun 2012) and then once more in 2012 for another 3 years until Jul 2015. I was told earlier this year that even though the current rule says that tier 2 ICT can only extend u...

New rules and 180 days per 12 months limit

I have been in the UK since Jun 2007 on tier 2 inter company transfer. My work required extensive travel, especially in 2010 and 2011. In past five years (Dec 2007 to now) I had about 500 days away from the UK, 370 days on business trips and about 130 days on paid leave. I still have tier 2 permit u...
