Thanks.

Are you sure ? Not to offend you but just wanted to confirm since a solicitor told him that he will have to wait for a further 5 years since his wife is not a British citizen and he was on a dependent visa.

Hi,

I spoke to few solicitors and I have been advised that a safe option would be to support the ILR for my spouse and delay any divorce after that.

I spoke to family law and not immiration solicitors so they may not be completely aware about it.

Thanks again. I am aware that I can show earnings for less than 12 months if I get enough points. I have done that before as well. However in all previous cases I had single employment in the 12 months before the appl date. This is the first time that I have had 2 jobs in last 12 months and with a g...

Thanks for your replies. I was thinking on the lines of having it just as one single line from date x - date y rather than x - y and y-z This is simply because I also have a holiday in that 15 day period and this may invite unnecessary questions ? given this fact what would you suggest - split or le...

Thanks spiderythread. The date on the payslip is 30th Jun 2012. So I guess I should write - dd-mm-yy to 30 Jun 2012 15 Jun 2012 to dd- mm- yyyy This would mean that for Jun I will have two payslips, which I know is not an issue but they may question as I cant be working full time in two employments ...

Queries - new SET O form - two jobs

Hi, Can someone please advise regarding the queries for the SET (O) form for ILR. 1. Question 7.12 asks for ties to home country and any other country where you have stayed for 5 years ? Any idea what can be written here ? Can I attach a cover letter as the space is too little, has anyone done this ...

it is wise to apply for ILR 28days before the current leave expires which is 21.02.2013. so my initial gap from 21/02/2008 to 23/03/2008 can be disregarded as this was first entry on HSMP and all remaining period can be accounted towards 5year of continuous residency . Does the new guidelines means...

Thanks.

If the current leave has not expired then is the right to appeal normally given ?

Is it favourable or not to have the right of appeal ?

Apologies if some queries are naive.

Thx

ILR refused - options?

Hi, Can someone advise what are the options that are available if ILR gets refused ? Can the applicant appeal or does he not have that choice? When is the right to appeal normally given and if this is not given what are the options ? I take it that if the ILR is refused the applicant can still apply...

Thanks...this is indeed useful.

All - some part of it is slightly worrying...it says if you went out of UK on unpaid leaves then that is a break ?

If someone went for a holiday in between jobs, finishing one and then starting another then does that mean it will be considered a break in residency ?
