Update on interview:

Had interview today and they only verified about the english language tests and have not asked any other questions relating to the application. Questions were like: which college the test was taken by, what was the patter on test, address of the college, fee paid etc etc.

Just to update, I got my approval today. Timeline was as:

Applied on 20.01.2014
Acknowledgement Letter dated 31.01.14 received on 06.02.14
Fee debited on 03.02.14
Approval letters received on 15.03.14

She arrived in Mid July 2009 and she will be completing her 5 years in July 2014.

No thats not right, they do accept the applications from self employed. I am self employed and I got approval.

Main thing to arrange other than normal documentation for self employed people is that you must provide them the paid bills of Class 2 national insurance.

Thanks for this forum. I got approved my ILR on 18.01.13 at Croydon along with 4 dependants.

Appointment was at 8 am and got approval letter at 11 am.


I am self employed as sole trader.

Pls add IFA in addition to the accounting bodies you have already mentioned. Please note that accountant must registered with one of the accounting bodies you mentioned and must be able to mention his registration number on the letter head.

ATII or ATT are not in the approved list of UKBA.

I suggest that if you have to prove your income from self employment (sole trader) then in that case you need to submit all the documents mentioned my list.
