Re: Continuous 5 yr period start date

Cheers mate, have just emailed them. What did they reply to your query? They responded, stating that my ILR residence period would begin from the WP date of entry. I just thought I'd share this information as I today received a response to the query I sent to the SettlementPolicyOps Team subsequent...

Re: Continuous 5 yr period start date

Cheers mate, have just emailed them. What did they reply to your query? cs95tdg - I read that post earlier and a number of others, almost all focus (may be rightly) on visas which expire before the 5 year period. This case which is very similar to mine which involves WP->T1->T1 extension hence there...

Re: Continuous 5 yr period start date

PsTier1 - I have seen nothing in the policy guidance contrary to this, hence I personally think your 5 year period starts from 18/02/2008. cs95tdg - I read that post earlier and a number of others, almost all focus (may be rightly) on visas which expire before the 5 year period. This case which is v...

Re: Continuous 5 yr period start date

Is the visa switch rule mentioned somewhere? The modernised guidance does not refer to any condition? psTier1 has been granted 5 year continuous leave since entry clearance. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/policyandlaw/modernised/cross-cut/ilr-calculating-continuous/ilr-calcu...

Re: Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK

You may have a WP document issued by Home Office so it should not be an issue. when did you apply for Tier 1 after your WP expired? you may not meet continuous residence requirement if the gap is more than 60 days. Where the applicant has a break in employment and applies for further leave as a Tier...

Re: ILR - Tier 1 (General) more than 180 days.

There is new guidance which is concerning for such cases or so I think http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=121927&sid=0c467a2c0e1ca227d4c9745f79f19e0b I am sure a lot of folks are in same situation as you including me :) Your situation seems a touch more difficult given you were out...

ILR continuous residence for folks who are seconded in UK

I am sure this will be relevant to a large number of users esp folks who are working in the UK on behalf of Indian IT companies and were sent back to work to their home office for certain periods during 5 years. Though these folks were away for reasons related to work, they would be paid in INR and ...

ILR 180 days in a year query - please help

I think a lot of folks on here are in the same boat. I wonder if its covered elsewhere. What if your UK employment is secondment and you are sent back to the home office albeit for a small period? As per your case I think its tough cause you'll have to provide good justification from your employer f...
