But that's silly. Your citizenship might take 9 months, what are you going to do, starve to death? Why not find another job?

Re: British citizenship

Hi Ramu, I had a similar situation, I asked my solicitor when I applied and here are the answers: 1. No, generally there is no need to inform the home office about changes to your marital status in-between applications. (I am assuming that your ILR and citizenship is not based on your marriage!) 2. ...

Re: February-2015 Naturalisation Application Timeline

Hi peeps, I received an acknowledgment letter (19th Feb) from the homeoffice, and they have also returned my documents. The HO requested that I change my name to demonstrate good character requirements. I have since changed my name via a solicitor and sent them a copy of the "change of name de...

Hi Got approval today (dated 26th March 15) for my wife (applied on 10th March 2015) but no news about mine (applied on 11th Feb 2015). Re: Do rejections come in faster?

They're quick to reject, generally speaking, its within a month or two. Are there any stats to back this up on refusal's in that timeline as I would like to compare? Some have waited a whole year only to be told no after the whole debacle and I'm still astounded how changes that came into effect in...

Do rejections come in faster?

I'm just curious to know, in the case that there is something trivial missing or wrong with your application (e.g. they think your references are too old, or for some reason the numbers and dates don't add up correctly), would you get the rejection faster, or would you still possibly have to wait 6 ...

How did you pass the English language test? I can barely understand what you're trying to say... Unfortunately only speaking and listening skills are required to pass English language requirement for BC. He could have failed writing part of the test. Really? That's hilarious. Because why would a Br...

Re: February-2015 Naturalisation Application Timeline

All fast approvals so far are ILR + 1 year. I guess most of the checks are done when the ILR is issued? EEA national here with Residence Card +1.5 years, applied on Feb 9th - no news yet. Yeah maybe that's it but it still doesn't make a huge amount of sense because ILR is only decided in 30-45 minu...

On the Fee Form they only say Credit Card or Cheque crossed a/c payee (nothing about banker's draft).
Banker's draft is a type of cheque.

(It's a prepaid cheque, basically as good as cash since the bank pays it rather than having to go through your account)

The other thing I was concerned about was that my referees signed the form 5-6 months ago, would that be a problem?

Still no payment has been taken for my application I made on 14/02. HO requested new payment slip to be sent and it arrived on 27/02. Dreading I will come home one day and have a letter saying they didn't receive it so have sent application back. Why not send a banker's draft? It's the safest way a...
