Can someone kindly clarify on the english language requirement please ? the guide says an approved english test or degree taught in english.....would confirming the degree and english language using the pbs calculator be sufficient evidence to prove english skills.

Thanks mate, i just re read this and it seems it does not matter, it can be done before or after naturalization or even after getting the passport.

Is it advisable to get name changed before Naturalization or after it is done and one has got a UK Passport ? if so why ?

Thanks Mate, i was concerned if i would be asked why UKBA was not informed of the name change but your reply is assuring...btw my full name has 35 characters :roll: could your's have beaten that :D

Congratulations Ricky, just one question... did you also inform UKBA and get the changes done on your BRP etc because you say that you got the Deed Poll done 2 months prior to your Naturalization application ? from what you said below i presume that is not the case ?

Yes its ridiculous, i had my appointment at 1300 on 12th march 2013 and they called me at 1730 to take my documents and then say sorry we havent got back your biometric report due to IT issues...got the brp card today though !

Getting appointments with dependents is proving very challenging but at the same time single/individual appointments appear plenty, any thoughts anybody ?

So on the application form one needs to mention the actual date of arrival in the UK but calculate the five year period from the Date of Entry Clearance right ?
