it depends on whether you are a first time buyer or not, there is a a Stamp duty Tax of 1% of the Value of the house , in other words if this is your first property ever in Ireland or Abroad you do not have to pay the 1% Stamp duty .

you are right to assume such an assumption , so did alot of people as the Irish officials a couple of years ago wrongly interpreted the EU directive . that mistake was challenged in the European court and it was rule that NO you do not need to be living in another EU Country to qualify for EEA Famil...
